    One of three Christmas presents I remember getting specifically from Dad – not from both Mom and Dad – was an umbrella. Others were a briefcase to replace one I’d worn out, and a calendar of cat puns on old movies (I liked cats better than his allergy did, but we both loved puns and old movies).
