Is call waiting like when you get notified in the middle of a spam call that you’ve got another spam call and you have to decide which one to hang up on first? And does this cost extra?

Kids didn’t talk back in my family. Whippings were still in vogue in the 1950’s.

Remember, when go rake the lawn was go shovel the barn?

I’d think a good steam telegraph in town would be a draw. Who wants to carry a thing around in their pocket all day for messages?

I remember when children didn’t dare talk back to their parents.

Try remembering when you didn’t have a kid, if you want a happy thought……

Each generation eventually gets it back.

Just being a little sarcastic about you’re reminiscing, like you talk about when you had trudge 10 miles through the snow to go to school, up hill both ways.

Oh, we talked back alright, but only when we were far enough away that we were sure they couldn’t hear us! (We weren’t stupid.)
