The day my daughters started asking that question I began their instruction in word problems. D = R x T to be specific. We are going this far. We are going this fast. How long should it take. This is your watch. It is now. We should get there when if we go this fast. If we stop for a meal for X minutes or gas for X minutes what should be our ETA? Kept them busy and they had more time to be annoying for other things. The kid seems smart enough to be able to do the math if the parents can remember their 8th grade Algebra.

No official QotD yet.
Wild guess – it might be Are we there yet?
Absolutely. - Not necessarily where I wanted to be, but still.

The reply to my little brother and I was, “No! If you ask one more time, I’ll stop this car and give you something to complain about!”

No, we aren’t there yet, and if I have to turn this car around, we never will get there!

Many years ago we were moving from Wyoming to Chicago. The wife and I had a bet on when we would hear the firs “Are we there yet?” We made 20 miles.
