SINE: You're gonna travel somewhere.
Yeah.
Sine; with an empty suitcase
Oh, you noticed. this way I dont...
...Lose anything of value should an airline misplace it.
I haven’t flown since 2008. I think I’d ship my luggage separately. Heck, I think I’d prefer to ship myself, too. It’d probably be roomier than flying coach. It’s just really weird to me that airlines are working so hard to make travel so miserable – while charging extra for it. I wonder if it’s anywhere near as bad in Europe, where people have access to good trains.
When I flew in 1998, it only took a half hour for me to get on the plane after getting to the airport. This was in Heathrow and they were dedicated to making it easier to get through the lines, not harder.
Reminds me of a scene from The Cocoanuts, where Groucho was the owner of a hotel::Groucho: “You know that suitcase is empty?”Chico: “That’s all right. We fill it up before we leave.”
Flying these days is absolutely miserable, especially if you use a winged bus! You can thank all the security BS everyone must go through to board a plane, and you can thank government intervention to improve safety for pretty much all of it!.You aren’t any safer today than you were 20 years ago, but some poorly educated folks think they are, and think their government can protect them from all possible contingencies, so fine for them!

And you get through security in a flash

This is the way a lot of tourists from Central and South America travel to parts of Florida. Then they shop, fill up the suitcase, and ship it home…

He could say he needs it to store his MacGuffin.
