As communication and writing is done primarily via keyboard now (think about how often you really put pen to paper except for a signature and perhaps a greeting card), good penmanship/handwriting is suffering greatly. I shudder when I look at my son’s penmanship. But I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t also state that I primarily write in print now. It’s a nice print with a subtle forward angle and lines but script/cursive really doesn’t come into play for me anymore.
The top shows how origami was invented. I think all this illustrated letters business got started because monks thought fancy lines were more interesting than the texts they were copying.
