It used to be you dreaded the person writing a check now its the person who brings the eco friendly bags, that have to be packed just right, and are usually a bag or two short that brings the checkout line to a crawl.
I found a eco friendly bag from Menards in my garage, that was sitting on the workbench since COVID. Put some tools in it to haul into the crawlspace. It disintegrated.
Sadly, while every bit still helps (so don’t stop attempts to be eco-friendly just because other pollutants seem to off-set the gains at a glance), there is still truth to this—if the world is going to go truly eco-friendly, it kinda needs to do more than these small tip-toes towards the goal, done more in token than anything else by some.
As someone who uses eco-friendly bags though, I would urge the adoption of them, not just because they’re eco-friendly, but because I find them genuinely superior, on average being bigger and more sturdy than the plastic/paper store-provided bags.

Go to the grocery store and fill your eco-friendly bag full of items packaged in plastic.

Doing his bit to make him Carbon Neutral, don’t see a problem with that.
