I agree, Horace! The term “middle of the road” needs to be changed.
Right now the definition is:
MIDDLE OF THE ROAD: a location on a thoroughfare that makes one realize; you ain’t never seen an accident like the one you’re about to have.
There’s trouble on the line, but danger in the passing lane.
Maybe Horace will meet the chicken crossing it.
