While not condoning his chauvinism, I’m kind of on Mamet’s side on this. One would think a trained therapist would have more to offer than the old “count to 10” advice given out by moms the world over. I know if I’m paying someone $200.00/hr, I would expect more, I would expect her to at least couch (get it?) it in professional terms, whatever that is.
