Occasionally I will give cash to someone less fortunate, I never ask what they are going to do with it. Once the cash exchanges hands, what they do with it is their business.
If I see some random guy approaching me with his hand out, I start toward him and begin my spiel about how I just need enough money for gas to get home. Works every time. (No, they don’t give me any money.)
