The new year used to be celebrated on April 1st. Makes a lot more sense. Spring is all about new life, but January is just blah.
I live in a 55+ neighborhood. They have a New Year’s party at the clubhouse. They watch the ball drop on TV at 9:00 and the party ends at 9:30. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
