I used to speed-skip this strip. Now I read it every day for the funny comments.

Locher must have just seen “War of the Titans” or one of those Japanese “Godzilla” movies on Saturday morning TV to give him the inspiration for this thriller of a story. Maxine, pop us up a big bowl of popcorn.

Me thinks Dick’s showing a little gray around his temples in the first panel. We should be seeing Dick squaring off against Robo-Dick in about 3 months, a fast pace in Tracyland. I second the popcorn, Maxine. Lots of unhealthy fake butter on it.

Dr. Magpie says hello to everyone.

Speaking of Fearless Fosdick, did you know that Capp did a story where Abner’s Ideel encountered a huge robot called an E.D.S. (Electronic Detective Substitute)? This story can be found in “Fearless Fosdick: The Hole Story,” available from Amazon.com. /plug

Normally I’d use the old-fashioned kettle on the stove for my popcorn. But it wouldn’t surprise me if old Mecha-dickzilla had a microwave oven built into him, so I’ll just pop in one of those greasy envelopes, heavy with unhealthy fake butter and see what happens…

I am not a mnstr. I am a man, (or a reasonable facsimile, with wheels and a little head)

Panel 3 - First Lochner drew DT’s body. Then, without looking at where the body was drawn, Lochner drew DT’s head. Realizing that the two components did not line up correctly, Lochner drew two wavy lines to connect the body to the back of DT’s skull, and called it a neck. It’s not like the man has time to redraw an entire panel every time a little mistake is made. FYI - I like how the big monster is telling the little monster “nt” to call it a monster. Today’s strip brought to you by the letter “C”.

Thanks for the link to ‘Fearless Fosdick’ Ray C. Always loved ‘Li’l Abner’. My mom always refered to my sister and me as ‘Bathless Groggins’ and ‘Moonbeam Mc Swine’ if we hadn’t taken a bath that day.

” I AM NT A RL ACTN HERO!”

That will be Dick Tracy’s reply.

Ohhhh so much wrong with the last panel. I bet that tomorrow Robo Dick has pincers again. I wonder if they made the Robot have the same voice as DT? Maybe DT and the Robot will have a conversation tomorrow. How will we be able to tell which one is which????

Let’s not diss Robo-Dick too much, guys! He might turn out to be our envy! That servo-motor on his lower back might be something I suspect it might be. Tess might want lil’ Dickie to bring the big-un home - and leave it!

At the rate this strip moves, will they put chains on Robo-Tracy for the snow in December?
