If only we could. Alas, Wally died back in 1981. A great loss to the art world, for not only did he do a near-perfect Gould impersonation, he could also do spot-on imitations of Walt Kelly (Pogo), Al Capp (Li’l Abner) and – well, basically, you name it!

I get it now, this all has to do with those funny mushrooms Tess used in the spaghetti sauce last night.

Left hand still not visable on Angelorious. Is she by chance still pinching her bottom? We have probably intentionally ignored it, but on Sunday in the panel before, the back of a hand was seen coming through the door. I take it that was the elusive left hand. Locher still needs more time to flesh it out (according to Mattie he believes in ‘building suspense’) but we will eventually see her full range of defects. The Author has this penchant for creating mis=fits, or put more kindly, characters with ‘challenges’. We need only think of say Lt. ‘Duckie’ Teevo “packing heat” and then realize that in ‘communications’ the heaviest weapon his mind is trained to ‘fire’ is his verbalizing mouth. Some suspect that he’s a half brother to ‘Pucker Puss’ he can only ‘fire’ from that location! Oh Wally! We wish you could come back like Kilian’s Sal Monela from the dead. Your expertise is sorely needed now, to put us and some of those characters out of misery by whipping this strip into shape. A quick bullet for that interloper ‘New’ Junior, he should be the first to go. He shouldn’t have been there ahead of Bonnie and Cool Dude over Christmas!

That face in panel 2 is the sister of the Joker from Batman.

And what is she doing in panel one? No left arm?

Tess is praying for a quick end to this lame story line. Dick is quietly squeezing one out …

So essentially this new storyline is saying that Dick Tracy is a load of ?

Tracy was so dumbstruck his eyebrow actually moved! “Y- Y-Ye Gads”! he stuttered to himself. “Who is this one armed, Dumbo eared creep-a-zoid with the McDonalds eyebrows that just waltzed into my house”? Thinking of McDonalds suddenly made Dick forget about the scarecrow in front of him and caused him to realize he was hungry. He noticed that Tess also looked hungry. “I’m Angelorious, marketing expert. I heard about your great idea”. Dick forgot about his hunger as his attention was directed back to the intruder in his house. “Dang, in the old days I would have tossed her out on her butt”! he lamented. He could see by the look in Tess’s eyes she would be really ticked off at him if he did. “Wow, pushing a line of Dick Tracy toiletries……..is a stroke of genius”. Dick muttered under his breath; “Smells like one of Diets cows got loose in the house”. Tess, quietly taking it all in couldn’t contain the sense of joy and excitement she felt. It was almost like a tingling going up her leg. Dick glanced at Tess, nervously aware of the look of rapture that suddenly came upon her.

Still very windy in the Tracy household. Is that supposed to be a hand on Tess’ shoulder in panel 3, or do the wrinkles in her shirt have fingernails on them? Gross, where did that hand come from?

Richard, I think that’s Tess clasping her hands together in an expression of utter(udder?) joy!

Looks Like Dennis Rodman…..

There is something grotesque about this submission; Angelorious kind of looks like Barack in drag.

In panel 1 the guard rail that Angeloriuos was wearing yesterday has turned in to a wind blown cape.

Brainiak noted: “Looks like Dennis Rodman” Keen observation! After all Locher IS an editorial cartoonist first. Can we say a female character inspired by Dennis Rodman ? Now when does Perfume Plenty come on stage ?

You people are giving Locher waaaaay too much credit for artistic creativity.

Ok, I’m done. I can’t take this anymore. I know, I’m a wuss, but this is ridiculous. I tried, I really tried. I loved Dick Tracy in the funnies all those years. I even watched the stupid repetitive cartoon. And I even watched the Warren Beatty movie. But you can’t ask me to do this anymore, you can’t. Anglorious? Dick Tracy Toiletries? How stupid do these people think we are? I just can’t do it. Say g’night Dick.

Hey Dypak! Hang in there, buddy! Maybe we can bring Mattie back - he’ll wake you up! Actually, on the comicspage board, he made it into the best thing going! There’s a lot of people here who were there and they tuned in almost hourly to watch his rantings and name-calling.
