Dick slipped his jacket on while holding the phone; he has moves.

Why do we not see the overpass over the house?

I guess Tracy is going to tote the phone receiver with him throughout the upcoming pageantry. Panel 3 looks great. Once again, it’s snowing like mad.

    “Not a good deal”

    What’s that mean…that B.O. isn’t gambling much?

Or that he gambled and lost because he didn’t get a good deal of the cards?

Or that it isn’t a good deal for Tracy that B.O. is gambling?

Or is Locher just trying to see how many strips in a row he can use the word “deal” in?

I guess I really didn’t know who B. O. Plenty was (just knew the name), so I looked it up. DT’s son is married to BO’s daughter?

Yes, Junior is married to Sparkle Plenty.

Tess looks rather manly in the first panel.

LudwigVonDrake says: “Tess looks rather manly in the first panel.” After all these years with Dick, she’s inheriting his chin.

Dick looking rather Grougho-Marx-ish in that first panel.

Sunny Dell Acres is a rip-off of the Greek Parthenon. Is Trump involved?

The artwork has been bad and if there IS someone new, I don’t see much improvement.

Tomorrow, DT will be wearing a jogging suit just to continue the line of quick-change clothing.

Ye Gods!! What a keen eye. I love Kirby, and I did’nt notice that. You’re right, it looks like something right out of “The New Gods”. All we need now is for Orion to pop up.

Dick Locher says (in DT): “Yep, not a good deal. Gertie is worried…B.O. is hitting their savings”

Yep. I’m worried too, that we may be about to get another raw “deal”, by having to wait weeks for this story to get “going”. Just as we had to in Braces and Angelorious. The “cosmetic” talk in front is fine but lets get quickly to “action”.

Then, FOUR artistic goofs in FOUR days is not an encouraging sign.

Perhaps, but more likely the yellow trench coat and with some luck, the Hat.

RadicalKnight asks: “And your point is?”

I thought you’d have easily realized it, … he’s dressing to go to work! Not been there for a few weeks now!

Mr. Locher seems to have moved on to the next storyline.

Tigger asks: “I need a refresher. Didn’t B.O. hit it big in Gambling a while back?”

Yes! Half a Million Dollars in 2006 at the begining of the Al Kinda story, but more than half of it got blown away during the story. May I sdd, NOT in a Casino!

It was Locher first story after Kilian died, and in fact, his THIRD with a “gambling” bacground in his three and a half years of writing the strip. He certainly seems to like “dealing” that hand!
