Tess looks like she has a sea gull perched on her head in panel 2. The phone cords, absent earlier in the week, magically reappear in panels 3 & 4. And what IS that shape to the left of Tess in panel 2? Why all the bad gambling puns? Is someone trying to morph this into a funny strip?
Panel 1 - DT - “Your perfume was a bust and you’re as dumb as a bag of rocks” Tess - AM NOT!
Panel 2 - Typewriter rings (It’s written RIGHT ON THE WALL,)Tracy with some odd elbow/body position. Tess thinking the psycho professor will be making all the profits..not her. bleeep Him!
Panel 3 - Gerties 1920’s phone once again has a cord but it must be a cable since it suspends itself in mid-air
Panel 5 = Heavy Snow at Sunny Dell Acres - Just not on the sidewalk.
Panel 6 - Jacks Casino is in another state with beautiful weather. No Snow in sight. B.O. with a Pirate newspaper hat on.
Panel 7 - Tracy household - Spring is in the air. Grass is green, no snow in sight. No curtains either.
Tess the brilliant will be MIA for a while now.
“Sometimes you get a few lemons when you’re not playing with a full deck”.!! WTF does that mean, Dick Tracy????
I come back after several weeks of hard work, not having time to post on the board, and the reward that I get is a profound statement about some lemons. Well, I have to say, it does meet expectations.
GROK’s observation on this strip’s convulsive art creations and it’s seasonal depictions are so accurate! Yes, there was much D iddle and some artistic L oitering on this Icon strip. Gould groaned!
Thought Tracy was dressed for work (?) No! B.O’s “lemons” were more important. Will Dick ask B.O. why he bothered to dye his beard and hair brown? It has always been “black”. Perhaps, another ‘flash’ of carelessness there (?), sorry, I meant artistic ‘genious’?
Read all the Sunday strip alone again. Our CIA man Cosgrove only appears in FIVE panels, 4 in December and ONE on January 4th!! Not seen after that!
He was absolutely of NO relavance to the story !!
For a quick “chuckle”, look back to see where last Sunday ended,
big crash, NO CIA man involved, (just a “no name” driver) and no certainty that Angelorious is even dead (just Tracy: “she got burned”). Seems like a hasty DL “cut-off” of a story he knew all along was just galloping, hog-wash nonsense!
Even HE must have felt ashamed
Moreso, as his “foremost” PERSONAL thing was not “forgotten” … It took pride-of-place (as it always does) … so folks, flush in the face you got the “mammery” taste!
A young man by the name of “Mouse”
Put some cheese in Dick Tracy’s house,
Some sniffed at the “bait”
But sad to relate,
It all exploded like Dr. Noll’s house!
Ludwig asked with a “knowing” smile,
How long for the Crime to arise ?
But Locher plays Poker,
This joker’s a floater,
When he piles on the bile, the wait is as long as the “Nile”!
Re: Comment from Grokenstein says: It’s snowing at Sunny Dell Acres, but it’s a clear night at Jack’s. I once lived in an area that was next to the “Snow Belt” I lived in one town, the other town, where I worked, was 22 miles away. They could get 8 inches of snow in the one town, but nothing in the other. So it is possible. “Grokenstein” is getting too picky with the details of the comic.
Safeway674 is to be applauded for the ,”comment” given. Natural incidents happen in life regardless of what one reads from a panel. Intelligent comments are appreciated.

“…your perfume business was a stinker…” The whole story was a stinker. The duck looks more like a duck today.

Tracy, you’re mixing your metaphors.

Worthless recap. Again. The attempt at humor is poor at best.

Why does Dick’s phone has 16 keys ?
LudwigVonDrake over 15 years ago
Wasn’t Dick in the process of dressing when the phone rang? I don’t think he had his full suit on yet.
Is the CIA still looking for Nubby? I guess they were mistaken when they thought he was a cyber-bomber (whatever that is).
Dick needs to trim his eyebrows. Badly.

Happy to see that the perfume story is over.
