I’m assuming Tracy was going to say “we’ll run a test to see exactly how many fingerprints I left on this evidence.”

If it is another threat, then it may be a clue (get one willya Spacey?) in that case then, would you not desire to not further contaminate the envelope?

TWINS ?

CougarAllen, seems to havw stumbled onto something there but I’m not sure he’s got the full picture, It comes at us in, the form of Barb Els, in panel 1 (a Stage name ?) and also on Wednesday just gone ! Now take a carefull look, not at the “boobs” mind you, but at the mouth expression and the familiar sharp, chisled jaw-line.

Locher hasn’t released the new villain yet, he’s building up “suspense” (Mattie likes that rven if it takes a year) He may keep it a secret until the very end (?) And then it will be revealed, a fabulous idea from Locher, a “twin” (not identical) for Dick Tracy, At first I thought it was a Circus version of that Trans-Gender guy, Stu Rassmussen. But no ! I can see it now. Given up for adoption. He was a “strange” child at birth (You know how some babies are born with a FULL head of hair (?) Well, this baby was born with a FULL “pair” !

I belirve life challenges turned him to crime. And I’m begining to realize Jeffrey K warned me something POWERFUL like this would be coming and, I’d be sorry for all my jabbing critiques. Well it looks like Locher best story ever, is coming down the tubes now, And I’ll likely have my regrets. Newspapers in San Francisco and Northern California will grab up the strip, Circulation will jump ! TMS will be delighted. Perhaps a special bonus for Locher (?) for pioneering a thrust into new territory.

I’m getting excited here. Contemplate it, we could really have unique “twins” here and Locher has handled it brilliantly. I gather that Barb Els is a “stage” name, real name — T!T Tracy along with “twin” brother Dick Tracy. ! Hear the ending (in Decmber) will be an even “better” surprise

And all these years I’ve been underrating the creative talent of Dick Locher.. Back in Woodstock, Jeff and Mattie must be laughing at me now (and “DeLi” is realy an echo). Their hero has vindicated their unswerving loyalty

They’re even going to bury their Teddy Roosevelt “Big Sticks” in Locher’s back yard

You have to admit, Barb Els sounds better than, “Barbara the Transgender Weightlifter”, or “Bart O’Steroids”.

It’s not a threatening note it’s a Hallmark “Thinking of You” card from the Pat Patton. He’s still hoping someone will give him a retirement party after all these years.

Barb Els has an Adam’s Apple. Why the boobs?? This might be a STEROID case developing.

Good theory, Sydney, but if you look closely at her face, I’m relatively certain the role of Barb Els is being played by Jay Leno.

Whenever I speak to someone I work with day in and day out, I always call them by their first and last name. “Good morning, George Jones”. “Thank you, Barb Els.” It makes for an elegant work environment.

Do we have both Tracy twins in the ring at the same time, as flightsuit suggests? Or … when Barb Els offered the note to Tracy in yesterday’s Panel 3 was Tracy so startled that he jumped – SO startled that he jumped right OVER Barb Els (who is, after all, short) and landed on the other side of her – but then, in Panel 1 today, repented of his leap and decided he is not so afraid of the note after all?

In Panel 1 Barb Els has an actual hand at the end of her arm and she is able to grasp the envelope with it. In Panel 2 … well, let’s be positive! Tracy has an amazing ability to twist his wrist!

Ringo should be put in a straight jacket. Maybe that would entertain the crowd while he’s struggling and yelling at Dick to open it now!

Looks like Tracy fell asleep in Panel #3 before he could finish his sentence. I am gussing he was not going to finish it “…. a marathon”.

So, at the rate this is going, maybe it will be opened like next Friday, if we’re lucky?
