How does Dick know it’s for charity? Again I ask, has somebody dropped off a script that we don’t know about? Is it the same mysterious courier who kept dropping off “ransom notes” at the circus?
My local newspaper recently dropped Tracy from its funny pages after decades of carrying it. Yup, my local paper is Dickless so that’s why I’m here. Of course, there’s the bonus of your comments.
One reason why I think the pacing with DT is so screwed up is that it’s trying to create a story that you can follow only on Sunday or just during the week. My paper used to run DT Monday through Saturday and skipped Sunday. What the DT staff should do is run different adventures, one weekly on Sunday and a second one during the rest of the week. That way Dick wouldn’t drag on and on and on…

Let’s do the Haunted House story again! It’ll be Halloween by that time, anyway! And I forgot what it looked like. I’m sure the Right-of-Way guys haven’t started clearing yet and the Governor is still keeping his nose clean.
Walter (aka VB), two days ago Dick told the chief that he would bring the note to hq. He must have done so while we weren’t looking. Too bad, too. Perfect opportunity for Locher to drag out the story. He could have gotten at least a week of strips out of the trip downtown.
Also, two days ago, Tess was supposed to go stay at Junior’s house until this was resolved. I guess she changed her mind.
I think it laudable that Locher includes physically deformed people in his stories.
It’s a minority that deserves some mention.
In fact he features at least one physically deformed person in almost every strip…..
now , as for the other minorities— uh, not so much. this must be a tea party comic strip- - no minorities!
Tess must have lost her arms in a FLOOOOOMM! and got transplants from a small child. That may have happened to other people, too – let’s keep an eye out.

They have a hard enough job keeping up with one “adventure” at a time.
Carlo Coratelli – the paper is the Press-Republican, the daily in Plattsburgh, NY. The paper still runs the Phantom Monday through Saturday but not on Sunday. But the Phantom doesn’t have the screwed up pacing as DT because Sunday is a different adventure running from week to week.
morrow – the Haunted House saga! That’s the one where the bad guy fell out a second story window and was crushed by a bulldozer, if I remember correctly. The crushing occurred just before Xmas day. How appropriate. Just took a while to wrap up that Halloween story, huh?
I can’t believe how bad the strip is lately.
More than usual.
It’s pretty ridiculous.
The art, the story, considering you only have to keep up with 3 panels you’d think you could keep it together…but I have no idea how some stuff is happening.

That note is the script. It’s a very short avant-garde play.

That’s right-the note is Dick’s part in the “play”, hope they get it back to him so he can start memorizing his line

In panel two, is that a darkroom projector hovering over the note? For what purpose?
And in panel three, are those video monitors pole-dancing?
