Don’t terminate BB Eyes just yet.

Lets put him on ice in the big house.

If the future, he can break out for another crime spree.

    Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Too Bad BB Eyes skills stopped with electronic surveillance and jamming. He forgot about Tracy’s intrepid doggedness, and Sam’s driving.

No airbags were harmed in the making of this scene, so I guess the Naperville PD doesn’t have them in their cars. And it would be kind of funny if BB Eyes got knocked out by one of those flying packages.

I still don’t see what logic Dick used to locate the proper warehouse. Did he choose the one closest to Junior’s home? Or the one where Junior met BB Eyes? The explanation will be interesting.

Actually, ‘calvary’ was almost 2000 years ago on the cross to pay for our sins. The cavalry arrives in time for B-B Eyes and the others to pay for their sins! It’s a good analogy, though, relating this situation to the old west when the cavalry would come to the rescue in the nick of time.

And another potentially interesting storyline comes crashing to a waaay too early finish for the short attention span generation. Maybe the next one will give us more air to breathe, so to speak. ( btw what happened to Tracy actually doing some “detecting”? So far he’s just been mainly smashing into things, or watching other criminals get drowned in flour or slapped around with a whip. What happened to, you know, clues and fingerprints and stuff like that?)

Shucks, ‘twerent nothing. Macy just taught Sam how to do his famous “Power Approach”. Macy’s has experience in totaling the PD’s vehicles! I wonder how they picked the right warehouse out of three.

Guess there is nothing we can say that will improve the daily strip color. The person who does it REALLY likes brown. That brown car looks out of place to me.

I know that the question of longer stories has already been addressed in this forum, but, I must say, I agree with petersandy about “detecting”. That aspect of Dick Tracy – clues, lab work, following leads – has so far been kind of missing.

Thank Goodness Sam wasn’t driving the PD’s Prius or ecological Smart car! (didn’t Macy submerge that one?) The 911 boys (and girls) would have to extract them out of the twisted wreckage first. Given Mike and Joe’s penchant for the good ol’ days, Sam was driving a 1948 Packard.

And, based on this strip, my suggestion for the next “Crimestompers Textbook”: If you are planning to stow away in the back of a delivery truck, always be sure to carry a potato with you. Never can tell when you’ll need to shove it into an exhaust pipe….@BillThompson: it may be possible to deactivate airbags in a police car. I own a used squad, and it’s amazing how many things can be set to “civilian” or “police” mode by moving jumper wires around… Didn’t see anything for the air bags, but it’s not beyond possibility.

Going from long, drawn out stories ( waaayyyy too long ! ) to these quickies is a bit jarring…but I’m not complaining, as nobody wants to hear that ! Wonder what changed at Tribune to cause this direction ?

I am officially ready for a story with some meat ! It’s obvious that DT is a labor of love for Mike and Joe, and they are fully capable creators, so let’s see a really involved storyline…maybe one that lasts two or three months.

The first storyline ( FlyFace & The Fifth )ran from 3/14 to 4/26; the second ( Hot Rize ) ran from 4/27 to 6/2; the third ( Scarlet sting ) ran from 6/3 to 6/26. And this latest adventure seems to be almost over: 6/27 to present.

How does Tracy know where Honeymoon is?Remember that AWACS plane that was in the air during the Mordred affair?Yeah. They located Honeymoon’s wizard and relayed the info to Tracy. They can now land and the crew can be reunited with their families.

While I agree that he storylines are going a bit fast, at least the Sunday installment isn’t a recap of the weekly cartoons. This is still much better than the previous cartoons.

You know – you could see what’s happening to Honeymoon as turnabout from way back when, when Dick used the same trick on… somebody or other in a mountain cave. The one with the wildcats that were acting guard.

A better strip would have Honey making more futile efforts to escape and Tracy and Sam raiding the wrong warehouse, before some lucky break or detective logic led them to the right place just in time. And lose the “Kaff, kaff.” No one sounds like that. Two people in respiratory trouble, in two strips, both go “Kaff Kaff.” The pacing of this strip is too hasty, and made a potentially suspenseful story arc into the abbreviated version again. It’s as if they had to cut a 60 minute hour to a 40 minute hour to make room for more commercials. What is the big race to kill the suspense? It was well drawn, but too sketchy and hasty. “Gosh, let’s see how many complete story arcs we can get in in a month.”

@jmo328,When the Lord Jesus Christ crashes the party, it will be a ‘novel’ experience. He’ll throw the book at all the unrepentant sinners, since he is the righteous judge of all the earth. Read and heed, please!
