Is there any hope for Measles?

It ain’t over til it’s over! Measles might have one more trick up his sleeve,,,

I hope he escapes so Tracy can track him down in the best Gouldian tradition, but, I figure he’s already dead.

Kind of thinking that a lot of people were right about that suicide by patches (or gun).

Oh wow, I didn’t just read it, I could actually HEAR Tracy with his, “OH YES.” And yes, there’s no way Measles could get away now, unless he’s already gone…..

Another great strip, with the second panel especially fine. It’s always good to see Sam. Measles is patched and dispatched.

It doesn’t look good for Measles.

I called a measles suicide back on sunday or monday i think… such a shame to have him go out with w whimper like that…not that i’d want him to go down in a hail of gunfire either. i’m willing to bet that once measles realizes he is totally surrounded, not even the pain patches will help…so either the MCU/Tracyville PD will shoot him down once he rushes them (hyped up on pain patches of course) and everyone will open fire killing him with about 48 slugs to his body, or theyll hear a “pop” in the distance and close in on the sound to find measles had already done himself in… but i’m thinking ti wont be before we get a scene where he produces a hitherto unknown pic of his mother thathe carries with him at all times, and tearfully apologizes to her that he couldnt avenge her “murder at the hands of gravel gertie” and “signs off” with an “i love you ma, see you soon.” before the telltale “pop” is heard

oh and for the record… as of today, mumbles has been ousted as my favorite tracy villain of all time… that honor now goes to measles

…and he’s got irritable bowel syndrome.

I would presume the patches Measels has are Fentynal patches. Made to give small slow doses through the skin. Knowing Measels is a junkie, he more than likely has a needle on him. Seeing it first hand the liquid medicine can be removed from the patch with a syringe. Which can very easily cause an overdose.

Good Morning Detectives and Combat Medics!Shaping up to be quite a climax here. And we know Measles ain’t going quietly no matter how many cops have him surrounded. Anyone wanna take bets that he nabs Sam as a hostage before it’s all said and done?

Anyone who’s familiar with Measles’ 1945 appearance know that he’s slipperier than an eel. Don’t discount an escape here. I have a feeling that we haven’t seen the end of him yet. Interesting developments are yet to come.

IMHO – The person who did the color on todays strip did so poorly on the last panel that it is difficult to understand what Joe and Shelley are trying to depict. That large blue section should have been green … right?

hey check it out… if u look very closely at panel three (i just saw it when i enlqarged the strip) you can actually see measles sitting (or standing) behind the tree. he’s sort of facing the second cop car at the top.. the one closest to the top right corner of the panel. VERY nice detail!! by th eway vistabill.. seems a certain someone wants to apologize for being himself yesterday lol

Does the end of Measles mean we finally get to the Moon Maid story conclusion???

There sure is a lot of fixation on Moon Maid now! Do any of you gents tell wifey WHY you are such big Dick Tracy fans? I didn’t think so.

Measles will need a new moniker now that he has a new set of deformities.

@tsull2121I have no idea why SYDNEY PHILLIPS uses “Spots” for his avatar (I’ll leave that to him to explain), but I do think that Spots demise by Gould was very clever. After constantly being pictured with spots before his eyes in every appearance, finally as he lay dying, the spots gradually disappeared, and when they were gone, he was dead. Very clever on Gould’s part.

Anyone able to reproduce the strip with Spots’ demise from 11-26-60?
