At least 1 Space Coupe is still on Earth, for now!

Interesting that Diet Smith arms his guards better than the city arms Dick Tracy and Sam Catchem.

Looks like lots of action in store for us on Sunday. Looking forward to it!

I wonder if the Guard might actually BE Bardoll, luring Sam and Tracy into the ship

PS. About time we see an “innocent” die in this strip, Gould would be piling on the bodies, by now! haha

This second (more senior) Smith Security guard has all the bells and whistles on his handgun (optics above the receiver, laser below the barrel); but in the end it’s shooter vs. shooter, and as we can see there, sprawled in the line of fire, the lax security guard was cut down (whether wounded or dead, we still don’t know, and won’t until his body can be safely retrieved, warm or cold) by the unhesitant Bardoll, who now holds the Space Coupe but at the same time (unless he has piloting abilities we don’t know about) is trapped in it. Of course, Tracy, Sam, and the Smith Security agent need to watch their rear, lest they be caught by Sail and his cronies in a sneak sally out of Diet’s office, maybe even with Diet (and anyone else who seemed too reluctant) as hostage(s)….

I expect that’s the first security guard on the floor and I think he’s dead. Noticing the security camera, I think the present security guard may have come running from close by when Bardoll appeared.

Bardoll apparently had some kind of plan because the present scenario can’t be unexpected by him. Somehow I think he’s going to steal the space coupe and I notice that the air cars are prominently placed at the ready to give chase. Maybe that chase I was speculating about a few days ago is about to happen.

As for Mysta I’m sure she’s headed down the road in that car she hotwired. We may not see her again for a little bit.

……yeah, IN the Space Coupe……..or maybe NOT!!!

Where is that gun from….the moon?

I am wondering about how the villains planned to get a large door or a ceiling hatch to open to steal and escape with the Space Coupe.

Come on, people – stop overthinking it.Tracy and Sam are with another guard, the first is on the floor, and old gruesome is likely inside the Space Coupe. (I say likely, in case the back-up didn’t actually see him enter it.)No mannequins, no costume changes – and no time for anything to have happened except what we see here.

Excellent story AND action! I’m loving the mystery in this story but also action! Dick Tracy IS a man of action!! So, one guard down, one guard standing (if it is the guard) and the “suspect” in the Space Coupe… we are being lead to believe it’s Bardoll or could we have a surprise waiting?

I’m still thinking Ole Ugly (Bardoll) is too big to fit into and pilot the space coupe, But I’ve been known to think wrong before.

I believe that the Space Coupe is relatively easy to fly. It has been stolen before and no one seemed to have trouble. Even Junior learned quickly when he and MM stole it to go to the moon to get married.. Even the flying garbage cans were simple. Pull the handle up to go up and down to go down. Everything else was leaning with body weight much like Segways.

I’m betting tomorrow we see the Space Coupe take off in a hail of gunfire – and maybe crash through the roof! (Mysta, driving away in one of Sail’s cars, may even see it.)But I wonder – since Smith had said long ago (back in Team Tracy’s first story) that he grounded the Space Coupes because he didn’t want any more high tech stolen, might he have a remote control over-ride set up on them?Or a self destruct?

The second security officer has a rather hard and chiseled face, much like Bardoll. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was him. Next story will tell I’m sure.
