Will he figure out who she is?

Good morning, all. Good question, Margueritem, and I’m even more curious if Sparkle will figure out who she is. :)

I think Sparkle will remember her real identity only by either a second jolt from Mysta, or seeing her give someone else(Hy Pressure, maybe?) a 20,000 volt handshake.

She looks kind of familiar…That purple hood shading her face, those big eyes – it’s Raven, from the Teen Titans!

RIP Dennis Farina. Twenty years as a Chicago cop, turned actor by producer Michael Mann. Starred on one of my all-time favorite shows, “Crime Story.” Was also on “Law & Order” among many, many others. I think he and Dick Tracy would have gotten along very well. Farina was 69.

BTW, everyone. May I propose a unique solution to this “troll” who seems hell-bent on trashing our beloved Moon Maid? Let’s just ignore “it.” That’s all. Just skim over or skip over “its” nasty comments and not even address them. We are merely encouraging “it” to even recognize “it.” I would rather see more thoughtful comments about the story from the rest of you, as I enjoy them immensely and appreciate everyone’s insight.

Uh…Mysta is not a sentient being, she’s a character in a comic strip. And if that’s your first attempt at ignoring a troll, I’d suggest a little more work…

I don’t especially like old man Wheaton, although he clearly is meant as a sympathetic character. He seems to play fast and loose with these “foundlings” on his farm. How will he deal with the Clone-Moon Maid? He will keep her around at least long enough for the next plot turn.. Maybe she will confront Hy Pressure?

I guess MM2 is trying to hide her horns, probably a smart move on her part; Wheaton, being a dairy farmer might mistake her for a cow, and try to milk her! ;)

It doesn’t make any difference to the plot but, I’ve noticed that Nellie is prettier and less tomboyish here than she was in her original appearance in the 88 Keyes story… Pa looks pretty much the same though

I’m not emotionally attached to Moon Maid either. I am emotionally attached to Dick Tracy. I don’t understand the implication that we should be gaga over MM. She needs some real clothes, not just a bathing suit, for one thing.

of course she looks familiar.. its “LITTLE PURPLE RIDING HOOD” lol :)

As much of a Moon Maid fan as I am, I have to second the motions that morrow and Jelfring have brought up, which is that Mysta does need a more appropriate wardrobe for her current situation.

And I echo what Sisyphos and others have said about the Wheaton situation being somewhat contrived – a plot device, to be sure, though I’m not sure how else Mike and Joe could have rounded up all these characters in one place.

Other than these minor, picky little things, suddenly, it looks like things are chugging right along just nicely, with Mrs. Tracy about to meet Mrs. Tracy.

the way Mysta dresses is just like Moon Maid dressed for most of the 14 years she appeared in Dick Tracy.

I seem to recall MM dressing in more earth-like clothing over her years as Junior’s wife. I know there are those here who have this info at their fingertips; can you clear this up?

I still don’t understand—-why the heck hasn’t Pa Wheaton taken Sparkle to local authorities to help identify her?

With the shadow over her eyes, she looks a little like Raven of the Teen Titans.

Why would Mr. Wheaton recognize her? I thought maybe Sparkle would – eventually.

We didn’t see any bodies lying around on the Moon, and all of the space coupes that the Moon people had were gone. Best guess they have gone somewhere else. May still be on the Moon, it is a big place after all. I am sure there must be some parts of it we haven’t explored. Like about 99.9% or so. (grin)

My guess: they went to Europa. Plenty of water ice, and not too cold. They should be able to manufacture oxygen and do other Lunaforming with their level of technology.

Europa also has the advantage that they can still be called Moon People.

And the powerful Jovian magnetic field allows their space coupes to operate at maximum efficiency.

Real Mysta or clone, I bet she takes care of Hy Pressure.

The one thing I’m anxious to know is, have they testedMoon Maid’s hair samples when Honeymoon brushedher hair that time they met? Never heard any more about thatand that would be the answer to whether Mysta is the realdeal or not. There’s been much controversy over whetherMoon Maid is genuine or not. I’m not going to assume oneway or the other just because of a car bomb many years ago.

If I remember in the past week. I thought I seen a picture of Pappy in a police uniform on the end table. He could have been on the force with Tracy back when Moon Maid was around.
