I honestly think the best possible outcome of this story is if all three of them- Junior, Sparkle, and Moon Maid- all survived. And I don’t mean that in a sappy, “Happily Ever After” kind of way. If all three of them live, it could lead to further complications, drama, conflict. In other words: further stories.
…is that kid old enough to carry a gun?!^Who, Junior? He has been married twice, and has two children. One of them is about 12 years old. I think the answer to that is, yes.
Interesting how Junior calls it the “wrap up at the Wheaton Farm.” Kind of like Vitamin calling this the “third act” and how “all questions are answered” wrapping up this storyline. Hope it doesn’t turn out to be a “Showdown” like the OK Corral.
This “Act III” is full of foreshadowing already, and foreboding. Who of Vitamin’s friends will meet an unspeakable fate? Who might that sniper shoot among the growing gang at the Wheaton farm? —So many over-eager potential victims! —And, yes, as Mikeyj said, why don’t we see their Kevlar when going on this dangerous mission?!
WOO HOO! junior is packing heat! Let’s see if the sniper outside Wheaton’s farm takes a shot at him and moon maid lite throws herself in the way of the bullet, saving his life and ending hers.
or better yet, have the sniper take aim at BOTH sparkle and moon maid lite, and have junior make a choice which one he saves.
Ooops. I hit the wrong button and my comment was posted before I was finished.Junior picked the name “Junior Tracy” for himself. He had always been calling the man who rescued him from the streets “Tracy”, and the tradition stuck. With Junior, because of his background, It is a name of respect..
The sniper hired by Hy Pressure was seen waving to Pop Wheaton from the road. With Nellie’s life thus threatened, Pop agreed to sell. We do not know the current whereabouts of the sniper, but he may be standing by until the money actually changes hands.
I wonder if Melies may also show up at the farm. We know he wants Mysta, and If he’s tracking her (via a chipped string of pearls?), he just might choose to snatch her there, unaware that Tracy and his crew are with her.Oh, things are getting hot!
This is getting good, although I don’t want either Sparkle or Moon Maid shot in the show down. Killing Moon Maid off a second time would be a hard pill to swallow! I still want to know what happened to the people on Moon Valley, and Mysta’s parents.
Bubble gum:.http://www.seattlepi.com/comics-and-games/fun/Dick_Tracy/.Link to alternate Dick Tracy – Seattle PI..When Go Comics failed us the other night, Ray Toler’s version of yesterday’s comic impressed me because of its colors. While I know it’s futile (and redundant) to complain Go Comics coloring, having gotten used to GC coloring, when I saw Seattle’s coloring first, that’s when it dawned on me just how bad GC coloring really is!.Back to the bubble gum: I seem to remember in the Sunday panels, the two side lights are red and blue, kind of like modern police emergency lights. The thing in the middle might, in fact, be a loudspeaker unit. Only in the daily panels is it colored red – or blue, as in Seattle PI..By the by, I think it was Chicago’s first Mayor Daley who first went with blue dome lights when the rest of the country was still using red..Back to today: Late in the day, don’t know if anyone will see this, but I don’t really care..Dick and Junior’s comments from the last couple of days suggest (but hardly confirm) that they know more about Mysta than we are led to think. But the only source of that information would be Mysta, herself..Perhaps Mysta is “coming clean” to them….Just not nearly as fast as the rest of us, Mysta fans and foes alike, would like.

Junior, Mysta, and Sparkle headed for a rendezvous at the Wheaton farm. Sounds like fun!

With a sniper in wait, you’d think they’d be putting on bullet proof vests, rather than street clothes

I’ve been thinking of shipping Mood Maid with Mordecai (from Regular Show) in my crossover fan fiction

Hey, has Junior always called his father “Tracy”? I’m certainly no DT historian. It just hit me as being odd.

Dick’s yellow coat was lined with Kevlar before the military got it…at least that’s my looney theory.

I love how everything is modern and state-of-the-art but the squad cars still have “bubble gum machines” on top.
