After carefully re-reading Flintheart’s soliloquy from Sunday’s strip, I’ve come to a couple of conclusions.

“We now come to our third act in which our players resolve their differences…” This can only mean Moon Maid and Sparkle.

“Lives are changed and secrets are revealed. Alas some of my dearest friends will… I cannot continue”. Flintheart teases the reader here because he NEVER says anyone will actually die but it makes us think a death will happen. But “lives are changed…” Puts me in mind that Junior and Sparkle have a marital split or something. Could have Vitamin’s lost words be “Alas some of my dearest friends will…” divorce?

I’m absolutely sure Mysta won’t be killed because that would almost kill the Melies/Ghote/Sail/space couple storyline.

Lastly, I don’t think anyone has to worry about any sniper at the Wheaton place, rather I would remind everyone of a much bigger forgotten threat -B.B. Eyes. He’s been ordered to follow Hy Pressure so it stands to reason B.B. will play a big role in this “production of Showdown”.

Just my two cents. :-)

Meanwhile, Victoria’s Secret is on line two.

Poor Mysta! But I would like to get me a pair of those boots.

Then again I still think there’s going to be a Flattop Mark II in the future. lol

There have been badder bad guys than Dr. Sail, but he just plain enjoys being nasty. (Hope theres something nasty in his future.)With Sail and Melies tracking Mysta down, and B-B Eyes backing up Hy Pressure, it looks like things are going to get pretty rough at the Wheaton place!

Mysta can run, but apparently she can’t hide. She looks cute in those boots, regardless.

Sail may be a little overconfident, letting the cat out of the bag that he is tracking Mysta.

I think Mysta found her purrrrrrple “soul paint” color at Ace.

Love that third panel. Mysta grabbing her disguise and giving us that frightened, anxious look. Panel one looks very nice, too. Super job today by Joe Staton!

Maybe they don’t know where she is. If thats a cell phone they simply called her.

Is MM back on the Wheaton Farm? She seems to be in a room full of boxes or large crates or something. I can’t quite figure out where she is.

So Clone-Moon Maid (yes, we cloned her/no, we didn’t clone her—who knows?) is shaken upon learning that S. Tim Sail (and Dr. Ghote) can track her movements? But it’s probably too late for alarm now, as the opposing forces are all heading toward a colossal clash at the Wheaton place….

You can do that now with cellphones. So you guys (and gals) that go “to the mall” at night, remember your better half can sit home and follow the little blinking dot on the computer screen to see if you are going where you said you were – unless your tryst is at the mall! “Meetcha in the Sears parking lot, Honeybunch!”

I called it a couple days ago – Ghote may be the real clone out there – though I appear to be wrong that the original Ghote was already dead. Evidence is shifting away from Mysta having died in 1978..But, wasn’t that the point in Roger Rabbit?.You can’t kill a toon!

This is great. it’s so unpredictable as in real life, yet it’s a Super Comic. We shall wait and see…

Maybe MM just needs to get a new cell phone — it could be as easy as Sail/Ghote being able to track her GPS location…

OK Mysta, Let the police know and they can figure a way to use this to their advantage.

I’m thinking “heroic self-sacrifice by Mysta.”

Nanites I suspect to be the tracking system Sail is using.

Night-Gaunt49: Did I really forget Judge Doom? Heck, I’m waiting for his cameo in the new adventures of Dick Tracy!.But unless that car bomb was laced with Doom’s Dip, Mysta the Moon Maid is among us once again!

By the by, Seattle PI colors are so much better than Go Comics, I think I’m switching websites – at least for viewing Dick Tracy.

Last, and certainly least: Stephan Pastis made a comment about comic strip websites. Check out Pearls Before Swine!

I’m REALLY, REALLY & REALLY hoping that Moon Maid stays in this as a regular or recurring character. It’s abundantly clear she’s enormously popular with the readers. What I find kind of cool is that I’m obviously not the only one who’s become very attached to her character. There’s something special about her, as a writer, I find her a sympathetic character. Please keep our Moon Maid around.

There were tons of comments this morning, and then the gocomics site shut down for a couple hours, which kind of ground things to a halt. Too bad.

It is easy to forget the considerable challenge presented by the three panel format, yet Mr. Staton and Mr. Curtis excel day after day in delivering a complex story with superb art. Mysta’s back is turned to us in panel one. Suitable for framing, we see Mysta isolated with an unexpected phone call after being in a room with old friends and “lost” family. She learns that she is being tracked. Yet another painful realization for Mysta. I’m thinking the tracking device has been implanted in a a horn, as Honeymoon noted the scar some time back in this tremendous story. In the third panel she rises toward us, gathering up her coat and hat, a stunned look upon her lovely face. More troubles on her plate, she is off to Wheaton’s farm to help the family and the MCU. Bravo, Team Tracy!

Why does it look like there’s a disco ball hanging in their office? Maybe they’re not as uptight as they seem, hahah…

Sail needs a good slap. Wait, didn’t Ghote already do that? Well, somebody needs to do it again!

You know what would be neat? If Dick Tracy used an axe as a weapon like Axe Cop.

Mysta rockin’ it out today. I hope the tracker’s not in her pearls. Always loved those trademark pearls. She looks great in them and I’d hate it if she had to get rid of them.
