Uh, oh! The Man in the Moon has called in the Munro Brothers! What an evil looking group!

“Recording device” Who is recording them? The apparatus? Tracy? EMI records?

Sorry. That should have been “Ralph”.

Apparently Elvis had more brothers than just Jesse!

Gee, they can kill each other off and save Dick some work…..

Good morning, VB! Exciting turn of events, ’eh?

Yeah, this is getting a bit too silly- even for a Tracy comic!

Oh, this is better than I’d hoped!Melies and the Munro Bros are hot to kill the Apparatus’ “agents,” so they must be from a pretty big outfit! (The villains in the next story, perhaps?) And if they are competing with the Aparatus, it explains why B-B Eyes was told the Apparatus “need(s) that income” from the Wheaton farm deal.Gonna be quite a surprise party at the Wheaton place Sunday! Melies and the Munro Bros., Hy Pressure, B-B Eyes, and Tracy and Co. – I expect a week of gunfire (and maybe a zap or two!)-————-I bet that recording device was put there by Dr. Ghote! (We didn’t see everything he discussed wiht Diet Smith!)

When I think of the damage the Munro Brothers might do, I think of the Three Stooges (plus one)! They’ll probably end up tripping over one another!

Sputnik Monroe and his brother Rocket were pro wrestlers way back in the day. Sputnik got his name in the early 60’s when he walked into an auditorium with his arm around one of his fans that happened to be a black teen. An angry woman called him the worst thing she could think of in that day – sputnik (ie: communist). White people boo’ed him but African Americans cheer for him.

So, the Consortium has bulked up its force in the rivalry with the Apparatus! Is it the Apparatus eavesdropping through the gimlet eye?In any case, soon enough there is likely to be a lot of hot lead flying at the Wheaton spread….

Colors today are awful. Go to Seattle PI for a much better rendition..So, I guess the Apollo is where this meeting takes place? And I guess we’re to suppose that the original Melies picture was on the wall the entire time?.Which might be how Melies’ “consortium” was aware of the original three stooges’ bungle: Sail, Ghote, and Bardoll….This is looking like the Wheaton farm is going to turn into the OK Corral. But then, already noted, the body count for this story has been rather low. (Bardoll and possibly a security guard).We know some baddies are going to bite the dust..I still think Flintheart meant some good guys are going to buy the farm, as well…

Stanton has drawn the Munros to look like the Munroes. The resemblance to Elvis is unintentional. Also, it looks like Muroes have picked up to new “brothers,” Flash and Satellite. Seems reasonable, since the real life Munros weren’t really brothers.

We might see some tag team wrestling moves at the Wheaton farm.

Now, I know that in real life, the picture on the wall is from a famous early science fiction movie, and our “Melies” character is designed based on that movies’ poster. But, in the Tracyverse, why would a crook have a picture of himself up on the wall with a rocket stuck in his eye? That just doesn’t make sense to me. It would be like BB Eyes having a picture of himself with a tire hung around his neck, or Brow with a flagpole stuck thru him.Unless. . . Could it be that this guy has a fantastic make-up job on? Like the Blank really did have a face, but was in disguise. Or Open Mind Monty really did not have a knife stuck in his forehead, but it was only a prop to intimidate his gang. Maybe Melies has deliberately modeled himself after a poster that is known in the Tracyverse.

So who gains by Moon Maid’s return? For awhile I’ve been thinking Vera Alldid might have something to do with it…creating a riff between Sparkle & Junior. But at this point in the story, that seems implausible. We’re now talking about a faction rivaling the Tracy- universe equivalent of the mafia. So it has to be moon people-related, right?

Instead of this “Third Act” bringing it all together, it seems to keep on spreading its tentacles.

It just hit me, Melies isn’t a moon person, he’s a kaldane! :-)

I’m a little confused here. Melies mentions somethingabout eliminating Apparatus operatives. Is not Meliesa member of the Apparatus as well? It appears thereis some conflict within this organization. If so, then they’llprobably wipe themselves out. Also I’m curious as to therecording device in the Trip to the Moon pic. I’m thinkingthat it’s not from the Apparatus because then Melies wouldhave been aware of it since he is a member of the Apparatus and would know how they operate. Thismystery gets deeper by the minute. I’m mesmerized.

It will be Apparatus 4 against Munro Moonies 5 - if Hy Pressure is still functional and around (?)

The former Group seems outnumbered, start at a disadvantage – unaware and come unprepared.

Doubleup will really have to ‘whip’ his skills into place !

Great new developments. Loving this story. But who’s eavesdropping on Melies and the Munro boys?

I’m not over my appreciation of yesterday’s strip, and now this? Yeehaw, this adventure keeps getting better and better!

I know there was a Sputnik, Rocket and Flash Monroe but I don’t think there was a Satellite.

Mike may just be trying to scramble our collective brains. And, I think he did a good job of it! Where’s SDM/Avenger09/MPH when you need them (him)? I need it ’splained to me.

The Munro Bros. remind me of 1960’s London hoodlums (greasers, I believe).

I just realized – Melies nd the Consortium are after Mysta, but if they can’t grab her, there is another Lunarian!Honeymoon!

Congratulations on the win. While the strip was excellent in 2012, I think it’s even better in 2013, so Dick Tracy ought to win again next year if there is any justice.
