I think the strip has been great this week. Very humanizing for the characters. No complaints on my part, just compliments…And now this ! How great is that?!!

Happy Thanksgiving Week, Tracy: no turkey for you; dead fish.This is going to be a memorable week. The Blackhearts seem awfully sure of themselves. Maybe too much so; I doubt that The Apparatus will go quietly into the night, and once a strike is made at Tracy, the MCU will also be on their case….

I guess the Blackhearts are thinking that Abner is their secret weapon. My money’s on Tracy! (And Tracy fans, I can promise you that there will be absolutely NO Z-z-z-’s coming from under the proverbial bridge!)

A nice tribute to Dick Moores, which compliments the wonderful anniversary strip today over at Gasoline Alley.

It’s still my guess that Venus is Notta Chin Chillar. I’m sure she wasn’t brought back months ago just for a one-time appearance. If not Venus, then I hope she will be used in a major story line in the near future. (And is her brother, Purdy Fallar, really in the vegetative state that he appears?)

That panel 5 above is simply a MASTERPIECE !!

The positioning of the arm creates a beautiful 3 dimensional effect, You find yourself thinking that when the ASH on the Cigar falls - it will be right there below the screen - on you desk ! (?)

Another example of STATON’S superb sense of layout and creative display that brings a sense of *"*richness*"* to current Dick Tracy !

It’s the kind of presentation that SDM should be scrambling to take ’ notes of ’ and spend a day or two of practice to try to emulate !Time to forget the ’ Sour Grapes ’ and improve your ability and position !.

Notta Chin Chillar seems more of a possibility than the other three that were mentioned today, but we’ve never seen Notta wearing such frilly clothes. Look at the ruffles on the hemline of the dress. I’m thinking that Venus is a new character we’ve never met before.

I’m looking forward to Notta getting a story. I suspect this is not it. She would be too well known from her criminal escapades to pull off a new identity as Venus, especially with her chin whiskers. I think Venus, like Méliès, is a new character. We may never see her face, but I imagine she has more in common with the Painted Lady than Lil’ Attitude. While Kadaver plans on two paychecks for one job, he’ll be lucky to escape alive. They won’t be screening London After Midnight in the slammer. Venus chides Griswold for failing at the land grab of Wheaton’s farm, while keeping mum about her own failed Space Coupe caper. She expected to be sitting pretty by now launching satellites for a fee, only to have the Coupe go missing. She’s bound to be disappointed with how this attempt on Tracy’s life plays out. Thanks to Vista Bill, Gweedo, Ray Toler and mzkdad. Much appreciated.
