Wonder why Junior needs to visit his office.

Well, it’s confirmed that we have a third generation law enforcement career in the family. It’s nice to see that it’s a female. There are disproportionately too many males in the police, even in Dick Tracy. Also, it seems that 99% of the comments on this strip are from men. What ever happened to Marguerite? (That might be spelled wrong.)

People who know at age 10 what they want to be when they grow up are among the luckiest people in the world.

I not only want to know what Junior needs to do at the office, but does he have some particular reason to invite Honeymoon along with him? Like maybe he expected the conversation with his daughter to go just this way?

Yesterday, we all enjoyed that just - back home strip, from the Maternity Hospital - with Junior, Sparkle, baby Trey that shows (only) half-sister, Honeymoon present . . .

LadyKat - queried the absence of other immediate family children (?) Seems she was thinking of older (full) sister - Jewel. who has been “ODDLY missing” throughout the ’ entire ’ process ?

For those that care for a visual ‘refresher’, the missing relative, sister Jewel Tracy - was seen in the 2012 Phishface story-line.She’s named, and appears quite active, in strips of Sept. 20, 22 and 24 of 2012

Familiar with Mike’s deep plots, you may " ponder " on the thought - that she may’ve been kidnapped, as a means of (Kadaver ?) getting at Dick Tracy ? ;- )

Gweedo, I hope VB has energy brs in his coat pocket.. the way the writer has been getting to “dangling plotlines” in this strip he may be there for another 2 1/2 years waiting! lol :)

Great installment, BB! The Magpie stories are always close to my heart. After all, the original Magpies are a special bunch! You know; you were one! Like “The Greatest Generation”, sadly we are slowly dying out.

As surreal as those comics were, I can’t do another stint as a Magpie. Thankfully, the quality is high enough that it is not required beyond the current batch.

You might change your mind if the pretty law person is in that time of month. Like the sign a coworker would put on her desk once a month: “I have PMS. And I have a gun.”

We all need a good, straight Path to follow these days..

Honeymoon will be a great detective, no doubt. What kind of cop she might be, or whether she might choose some other form from the broad spectrum of “law enforcement” agencies and activities, remains to be seen.

Yeah, I should try that a bit more sometime. :) Now that I think about it, she said she was doing some travelling. If you want to drop her a note, just tell her that we’d like to see an update on her life every now and then. I’m not “concerned.” I’m sure she’s doing fine.
