Collision: “Boss Tracy” vs. The Chalice!

,Good morning guys!,A very slow recovery from my ordeal at the cardiologist on Wednesday. I was worn out! Spent most of Thursday sleeping in my coffin! I hope I feel up to getting up and out today!

I could have sworn that was “the Influence” with a goatee.

Hmmm…..maybe some kind of action is about to occur.

I realise that Brau is a play on the word “Brow.” The German word Bräu means “brewery.” Interesting.If he were still a bad guy in this alternate reality, I would have guessed he had been active during the Prohibition era.What sort of crime did the original Brow participate in?

Joe & Mike have a great way of keeping us coming back. It’s like old film noir cliff hangers from the past. What will Boss Tracy look like?? We’ve seen his eyes, and black profile. Maybe a scar, a mustache, a cigarette…what do you want to dress up as on Hallowe’en…what other characters from the rogue’s gallery do you want to pop up??? TBC. My cardiologist tells me that shoveling snow is the least beneficial exercise that you can get…have a happy winter you all Boss Tracy fans.

Hmm. We haven’t seen Junior, Sparkle or Moon Maid yet in this world. Or Tess for that matter.

Halloween coming up, probably with a big BOO! But they already had a good one with “Trigger” Catchem. How are they going to top that?

Also, the packaging on his Playmates Action Figure alternately referred to him as “George Grissom.”

After being mentioned here, I was also beginning to think that Boss Tracy could be Junior but looking back at his first appearance, that person could only be Dick Tracy. It is impossible that he is a matured Junior because they are not blood related and no resemblance. However, it is possible that the story is being told from Junior’s perspective and might have been brought about by his problems with Mini Moon Maid. I still say that this is a dream. Too far out for anything else.

Nice use of The Brow (Officer Brau) and cameo by Boris Arson (if it is him), and I do like Boss Tracy’s big Rolls Royce. But what is about to transpire here at the cop shop?

I suspect they are using this story to cameo a lot of 30s, 40s and 50s characters. The story seems to be set no later than mid-fifties looking at the clothes, speech patterns and vehicles. Granted the DT timeline era is never quite what you would expect at any point, but I would be rather surprised if any of the 60s+ material such as the Moon characters feature at all. Still, we’ll see. Personally, I think this will wrap up quite quickly as there is very little story beyond what is needed to bring these cameos together.

Despite what I’d said a few days ago, it’s not impossible that this story could end or swerve abruptly.

Example …

What if Sunday’s strip ends in a pullback shot of Tracy reading the crime novel “Midnight Mirror” …

… then next week it turns out that the author has been Edited With Extreme Prejudice.

The MCU must next investigate.

Another Gouldism was the use of reversed spelling, the most infamous example of which being “The Blank,” Frank Redrum.

Anyone care to take a stab at devising some new ones?

Not reversed, but the MCU might benefit from the expertise of police forensic scientist Dr. Heindseit.

More of a “Speed Racer” name, but hitman “Digger” Graves might be a fun addition to Tracy’s Rogues Gallery.

This may be a dream, but I doubt it.I’ve never heard of dream in which there are scenes without the dreamer present. Most of this story has followed the actions of the police and The Chalice.Of course, I’ve never eaten a pepperoni, pineapple, anchovy pizza, either. You can’t tell what you’d dream after eating that.

Appears to be a Rolls Royce, either a 1950s Silver Wraith or Silver Dawn. Love the classic ’50s Rolls Royces far more than their modern counterparts. Damn you BMW!!!!!
