“Adam Austin” was a pen name of the late comic artist Gene Colan.

So those who suggested the “alternate universe” might be a novel are also correct.

Note the pictures of Snowflake and Kandikane Lane on Vitamin’s dressing table.

Seems the old boy’s quite the romantic.

Its so cool how Dick doesn’t give a @#*% about what the funny pages have to say about him. Adam Austin, Vera Alldick whatever…He is above all that…after all, who’s got more guts than Dick Tracy…He’s a Ninja Master of Zen comics..

@cpalmeresq; do you think this is only going to be an interlude? I would guess there’s going to some more development; maybe one of the classic villains who hasn’t yet shuffled off this mortal coil will become obsessed with the “Midnite Mirror” film, since it gives him an opportunity to see Tracy killed in the end, and….

Here’s an almost completely random panel of art by Gene Colan/“Adam Austin,” of Tony Stark …

And a favorite cover, the final issue of TALES OF SUSPENSE, #99, circa 1968 …

Isn’t Vitamin’s reflection backward in his make-up mirror? Not nit-picking, I just rarely notice these things…

We’ve seen what we now learn to be a movie shoot for several weeks already, but here Coffee says that filming starts “next week”? Have we skipped back in time?

Methinks they’ve been in production for awhile, but scenes slated to be filmed specifically at the Patterson Playhouse location have yet to be shot.

We may have flashed back to just prior to the “Midnite Mirror” shoot that we’ve been following for the last weeks. But in any case, while I am appreciative of the explication of the text by Vitamin Flintheart, that old thespian, I would not like to see his character reduced to being solely the surrogate mouthpiece for Team Tracy, as he has been a number of times in his recent appearances. His arc with Kandikane Lane is the important recent exception….

Always good to see Vitamin. I like that the old ham has placed a photo of Kandikane Lane next to one of the late Snowflake Falls. A little exposition helps keep the pace brisk.

When Coffee says the film “Starts filming here next week”, I thought he meant “here in our city”, not necessarily the Playhouse.

Adam Austin wrote “The Midnite Mirror”? There goes my theory that it was written by Angeltop, due to the flattering portrayal of her father.

Well, like in all Dick Tracy stories, there is a Crime up ahead, STILL to take place. Something to get the wheels of Justice moving at the real MCU.’

Our reading focus has been held through a wild scenario of a make believe Cops and Robbers film featuring characters with names like Boss Tracy - the criminal master mind, Police Chief Pruneface and Independent investigator FlattopThere. as it rolled on In bizarre fashion (unexplained) for 3 week

WHY (?) Show us all this detailed activity, to have a Crime elsewhere ?

And today. had you’ been ‘distracted’ by (say) the frivolities of the adventures of Bill and Rikki or his more serious medical tests (?) . . . there was Vitamin, planted at the repaired Patterson Playhouse flipping the lips with Coffee to point us back to the scene of the upcoming crime ? ! So it almost seems inevitable a crime (a kidnapping ? a murder?) will take place there.

And as we traverse week *four

of the tale, you realize Mike is ‘taking his time’ to “kick” off the ball. to start the game (the chase / the deduction / the apprehension /) ?

But not to worry “related records” on these things are comfortably held in Dicky Locher’s hands . . .

‘Came in the strips of the 75th Anniversary story (of 2006) Rogue ,“Mind Reader” - Dr. Figment Froid . . .The tale ran for 5 month (shy 5 days).Time to the Crime was 15 WEEKS from commencement !And the tale ’enjoyed’ a long one room sequence . . . (Tracy/Froid/Smith) that lasted 6 weeks and a day !Claustrophobic ? Length of Time in a small Space ?

Just some ‘unusual’ Tracy “STATS” - for those that may have an “interest” in those things

    Story Start August 28, 2006

    September 28, 2006

    September 30, 2006

    Crime After 15 Weeks December 11, 2006

    Story End January 17, 2007

With great respect to Frank Miller, I always felt the best Daredevil artists were Gene Colan and Wallace Wood.

People were saying that Venus (I wonder if she survived) looked like Jessica Rabbit (from Who Framed Roger Rabbit). Supermodel Heidi Klum dressed up as Jessica Rabbit for Halloween in a very elaborate costume with apparently 9 hours worth of makeup work by a whole team of makeup artists.

The Daily Mail has some pictures of the makeup procedure (taken from Klum’s Instagram), several pictures of the final result, and pictures of some other interesting costumes worn by the rich and famous.

I think this whole thing looks like the first act of an Agatha Christie play. All of Tracy’s worst villains are gathered in one place ONLY they turn out to be actors playing Tracy villains THEN one by one they start being murdered WE KNOW one is guilty but not which one THEN the REAL TRACY uses his DEDUCTIVE ABILITY to SOLVE THE CRIME.
