I was expecting the reveal today.. only if Forsythe did not intervene we could have gotten that today. I am still suspicious about Newman.

Thank you Pequod but I think both of them would live.

Crimestoppers:……Most of the Canadian police TV dramas refer to them as “the Horsemen”.

At last a break, literally, in the smokey cloud, and the MCU sniper is able to take a shot. The shot is not perfect, for The Hangman lives, but his left shoulder (remember, he’s left-handed) has take a heavy hit. I’m not sure what kind of rifle the police sniper would be using, though the H & K PSG1 seems to be a police favorite (according to Wikipedia); it is a 7.62 mm, so if that were chosen I’d not expect The Hangman to be using his left arm very much in the continuing conflict versus Tracy….

Y’all seem to be missing the OBVIOUS…The Hangman calls Tracy by name!—Not Byrd! So he KNOWS the switch was made. I’m still guessing the Hangman is Rikki’s former Main Squeeze and this is Abner….

I know it won’t happen, but I have his terrible image of Tracy unmasking the killer, and everyone around gasping in surprise. The killer snarls, “And I’ve have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for those meddling kids!”And we get a wide shot of Tracy with Scooby-Doo and the gang, laughing. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a masked villain unmasked.

Between the “Blisterfield” billboard and resulting visibility issues, editorial consensus is that “Smoking can be hazardous to your health!”

Especially impressive art this week, which is saying a lot given Mr. Staton’s track record. The action on the rooftop with a helicopter swooping in reminds me of a recent highlight that stays with me: Mysta arriving at Ace Tower to help her Imoto-Chan. Forsythe wanted revenge for his murdered friend, yet that didn’t go well. Sticking to Tracy’s script would have kept him from being ventilated, but some actors love to improvise. Mr. Forsythe was naughty, risking more than a lump of coal in his stocking. What fun to see Tracy protecting “Flattop.” Smoking is dangerous to Tracy’s well-being, as the billboard’s puffery was blocking the sniper’s view. Shall the Hangman survive, or knot?

Thanks to Vista Bill, Night-Gaunt49, 22ph, Gweedo, Willy007, Sydney Phillips, Jim in CT and Ray Toler for the kind words. Very much appreciated!

To paraphrase James Thurber, from The Unicorn in The Garden – kinda/sorta …

    The Hangman was uncatchable.

    Until he was caught.

And who is “The Hangman” …?

    Well …

Someone seemingly without a specific grudge against Tracy.

Yet more than willing to kill Tracy.

Right this sec, my gut says that “The Hangman” is the thought-to-be-deceased Byron Orlock.

And that the helicopter pilot is the MIA Morgan Byrd.

This isn’t based on anything beyond their absence from the scene, and the fact that so much time was spent setting them up.

… well, maybe also that the body types are a close match, and that they both wear masks.

    A two-person operation?

Orlock as front man – Perhaps literally “Fall Guy” – With Byrd working inside the actual production?

Could there be a deeper relationship between the two?

I’d noted that the killings didn’t seem to actually hamper production very much.

There is The Hangman’s protestation that Tracy was not “Morgan Byrd” – But that could have been deliberate misdirection.

Might Byrd be the manipulative mastermind, using an undead Orlock for his own purposes?

    Towards what end?

    Old Hollywood Saying …

“The only bad publicity is no publicity.”

    Also …

… pretty certain “The Hangman” will ultimately be hoist by his own literal petard.

    So to speak.

“Nothing can save you now!” At least, until I was dumb enough to get in close where you can grab my gun hand. Tracy could have saved himself even without the sniper.

LOL, no “loopholes” from you, Pequod, poetically covering all the bases. Thank you!

Shot in the shoulder, Hangman’s momentum throws him off the building…without a harness. Should have remembered: Safety first!

No, they wouldn’t. He is talking about a specific role of the modern RCMP and how that came to exist. The “suppression” of organized labour of the Metis has nothing to do with what he’s saying, any more than explaining why the force was started in the first place would have.

Forsythe hangs out with Tracy here upon the rooftop high

Were Tracy to soliloquize the Hangman might ask why.

Tracy does not like it, yet the Mayor gave her command

A whirlybird approaches. Things might get out of hand.

Hangman makes his entrance, he drops down from the bird

Arrested by Boss Tracy, can’t believe what he just heard.

Forsythe is a bold one, seeks revenge for his friend Freddy

Tracy stops the vengeful move, despite pressure he stays steady.

Hangman plugs the actor, Tracy trusts the smoke will clear

From Blisterfield emissions, there’s a police sniper near.

Hangman’s noose now airborne, he aims to hang ‘em high

A fateful breeze it shifts the wind, the smoke then passes by.

Appearing in the cross-hairs: it is Tracy and his foe

Whose shoulder takes a bullet, ‘tis a painful pinpoint blow.

Now Mano-a-Mano. The pair battle to the death

Boss Tracy versus Hangman! Who shall draw last breath?
