AnyFace mentioned,Likewise Flintheart, who apparently has been hitting the “revita-mins” pretty hard.-——————————————————————————————-.With Kandikane as his girl friend, I can imagine the pills Vitamin is taking now… Geritol, Aleve, etc.
Gweedo inquired,Your second box is a busted image on the screen or is that the little boy’s final resting place after he loses the brain that God should have given to a rock ?-——————————————————————-.When I view it, the image is fine. BTW, the little boy is “Big Nate”. The zombie? Maybe he fell out of Nate’s locker or could be Chester (the bully) or Steve (the posse leader). One needs to be a fan of Big Nate to understand what I am talking about here..I’m more concerned that my images are not appearing as intended. I keep ths sizes well within the assigned area..Off to the coffin now! I’ll put the bats out first!
Gweedo restored my confidence,After rejuicing the page and mainly, restarting the whole rig, I see your zombie guy. No wonder Nate was shaking so much !-————————————————————————.Whew! You had me worried, Gweedo! Youse is the master when it comes to using html. I’m but a pawn in the game of life!
For those who watch the Gerald McBoing-Boing cartoon …
You’ll note, during the radio station sequence, that Gerald quietly drops each page of script to the studio floor after having performed the sound effects: That is, in fact, something radio actors would do to keep their microphones from picking up any audible rustle/shuffle of paper during a taping or broadcast.
In the early days of UPA, the studio was contractually obligated to produce three cartoons featuring these characters from Columbia Pictures’ library …
The Fox and The Crow
… which they indeed did.
All three shorts were directed by the aforementioned John Hubley.
Tracy pretty much knows anybody who’s “anybody” in Tracyville, but Vitamin is indeed a close friend of long standing. So, Quincy Magoo will get to meet the young pup, and maybe Kandikane Lane too, unless there is some sudden disturbance in the Force before they can get backstage….
I noticed that Quincy’s nose is more rounded like Mr. Magoo in this strip, compared to squarish in the first strip with him. Maybe copyright issues kept the artist from drawing a round nose and now he’s trying to sneak it in under the radar?

Even though the character of Vitamin Flintheart was introduced in the comics prior to Mr. Magoo, Magoo is clearly older. So, it’s understandable.
