Is the bank’s name a knock on a certain government agency ?

Apparently, it is and the haul from this robbery sounds like it was even better than the one the Blackhearts did last summer.

Does that much cash even exist anymore? I mean, wouldn’t that much only be accessible online?-I just can’t imagine any one bank with that much cash. Even four million would be a lot.(Even Scrooge McDuck wouldn’t keep four billion in his money bin.)

The t-shirt designs are coming along but I have to do them between a bunch or deliveries/installations of signs Sunday and Monday and taking everything out of the freezer in my fridge tonight for an emergency defrost/repair. Watch here around midnight EST Monday night and I’ll get that posted. You can still get that special I mentioned until midnight PST (3 am EST) tonight. Otherwise, you can still order at the regular price or there will probably be another special sometime this month.

The pictures of Bill some people wanted won’t be able to be bigger than 5" across at the very most. I haven’t been able to do a drawing yet as I was proposing. The reason I mentioned that is that it would add flexibility in sizing.

This is coming a few days late, but I am no longer involved with the DICK TRACY strip. My last official day as the strip’s police consultant was Dec. 31. Before that date, I stockpiled enough CRIMESTOPPER and HALL OF FAME entries that there should be enough to last through 2016, should Mike and Joe choose to use them, but a new police advisor has been hired, and I will no longer be involved in consulting on the strip..It was fun while it lasted, and I’m sorry to be going, but some things can’t be avoided..Thanks for your attention.

In Cambodia, USD is the unofficial currency. It is the money in use there when it comes to bills. Then China also has its own stash from you guys importing cheap China made products

So this is at least the second time in the past year that Tracy found out about a major heist in the newspapers, the other being the billion-dollar gold heist. That’s as about as realistic as the President of the United States finding out about major national and international events for the first time when watching them on the news…oh wait… LOL

One problem with “all-caps” headlines: Is this about Homeland Security Bank (a private institution) or a Homeland Security bank (connected with the federal agency)? If we could read the story, we’d know right away…

Federal authorities are likely to get involved either way, but the anti-terrorist mission of the latter would probably bring a lot more heat, a lot sooner.

You did a wonderful job of it, sir. Hope you can stop by the comment lines from time to time. I learned quite a lot, and that’s important to me.

@Jim Doherty Thanks for your insight into the federal jurisdiction, and for your contributions to the Crimestopper’s Notebook and Hall of Fame entries. Continued good luck with your future activities, and I hope you’ll stick around these parts in an unofficial capacity.

Could someone put up a comparison of today’s reveal to Tracy finding out about the “Billion Dollar Limited” heist?

We might be witness to a forming trend.

Did you have a chance to read the rest of the comments before posting yours? There was speculation that the writer is making a pun – many times the word “security” is part of the name of a bank in real life – “First Security Federal”,for instance. And also the word “home” tends to show up in bank names at times.(I thought the same thing you did, at first. I find it is very helpful to read the comments before posting – often a question I have has already been answered by someone.)

Count our “Memorable” Characters . . . Count them one by One . . .And it will surprise you - what the Dick Tracy Team has done

First to Swim Out was - the remarkable B-B EyesFive years long and counting, here - to tantalize (?)While out there golfing was new star DoubleupHe too ‘defying odds’ with a winning 5 year puttAnd as we saw Mumbles too defy that “Davy Jones” LockerAs 5 year Star Blaze Rize seemed ‘well poised’ for a 2016 Space Coupe “shocker” !

Methinks, the ‘Lady’ does ‘protest’ too much . . .As Hark*!* Hark*! . . .* listen the Dog does Bark (?)Yes - Space is Dark, but Dick Tracy’s not a Noah’s Ark*!*

Bribery came, and Bribery went, his mode of departure - ‘disconcerting’, too much Space Content ?Now on stage is the Ace of Spades and the man is really nothing . . .Unless he forecasts ‘ahead’, and sees a Space Coupe coming ?So, Who else from the past will come out FAST ?

There’s someone I’d really like, but ‘guess’ he’ll be last ! (?)See below, he calls her “daughter” she called him “papa” Still jailed(?) Father of Glenna or the body of Mysta ChimeraWould it strike in her, a vibrant, resonant chord ?Hearing, in a ‘familiar’ sound of ‘voice’ the word “daughter”?

But NO ! Things aren’t smelling (or appearing) too ‘Rosie’ . . .*That anytime SOON, we or Mysta - will be ‘hearing’, or ‘seeing’ our Posie ! ;-)

As the forum’s resident “Soap Guru” – For what that’s worth …

Substitute “Glenna Ermine” for Tad Martin and “Mysta” for Ted Orsini, and you’re half-way towards a viable Posie Ermine story!

No Wichel column, but just to irritate Tracy, she had the typesetters place a third sub-headline into the story: “Another Job for The Green Hornet.”

There were a lot of comments yesterday about the Apparatus members being able to smoke while wearing the black hoods of the 52, all of which kind of confused me.-I was sure I saw the hair of several gang members in a couple of panels. And aren’t the Apparatus members always shown in silhouette? In that case, how could you tell if they were wearing a hood? And if he was wearing a hood, how would Specs know he was Mr. Notting?Just a little confused, that’s all.

I thought the only one wearing a hood was Notting himself – his silhouette seemed to show a very tight, smooth profile of his head, whereas the others did, in fact, have hair lines, earrings, etc.How Specs knew his name, is a good question. I’ll bet Mike just threw that in the dialogue to tell us readers who he was.

I hope Neil’s fridge doesn’t need to make the scrap heap …

No, it’s not that bad, but it’s a pain when it frosts up. It really needs a new thermostat for the auto-defrost, but I kind of pushed it together where it popped apart and it was good for all last winter and only acted up once this summer. I have to pull it all apart and take the stuff out of the freezer to fix it, but it seems okay today and I didn’t have anything thaw out.

I was out delivering stuff all of today and just got back (a sudden 3-day contract I got). I’m going to see if I can finish off the shirt elements.
