I wonder if this is part of Notta’s devious plot against Dick Tracy……?

In the 1958 story, Wunbrow was tracking a gamecock breeder (Miss Egghead) in the United States. She eventually escaped to Cuba, where she got in contact with the source of her gamecocks, Chicory. Wunbrow called on Tracy to come down to Cuba to help. When Tracy found Chicory, Chicory’s assistant Little Gorilla knocked him out, as shown in the following panels.

Chicory’s other associate, The Dropper, dropped Tracy (with parachute) from his plane into a canyon from which there was no escape and left him for dead.

As someone mentioned yesterday, “KIKO” must be short for “King Kong.”

For those who haven’t read the Miss Egghead story, Tracy eventually escaped from the canyon and went to investigate a plane that had crashed into the water. The plane contained Chicory, Gorilla, and The Dropper. Not to give too much away, let’s just say that Gorilla died due to the panic that ensued after the bad guys spotted Tracy coming towards them.

It almost seems like Kiko is offering to help Tracy out by providing him with a disguise. Or is this to make him a less-conspicuous kidnapping victim?It’s late, so I may be interpreting this the wrong way.Still awaiting the return of Spicy.

Do we have another back from the grave? I hope not and it is just a matter of recovering lost souvenirs. The way it goes Kiko is planning to move Tracy somewhere unnoticed except that Kiko is not aware of Tracy’s drones.

Could the kidnapper actually be Little Gorilla? I haven’t read that story but it is said that they were all confirmed dead but then the DT team can wave their magic wands and resurrect someone who died in the past.

Also funny, no one has commented yet on the “SunBug” drones escaping Tracy’s discarded clothes in panel three.

Wonder how autonomous the drones’ A.I. might be.

Seeing the ‘SunBugs’ take flight somehow reminded me of this.

A smart kidnapper would take away Tracy’s wrist wizard, but it won’t help them so long as those micro-drones keep following him around.

That may be why he went with them willingly — he knows that he is easy to track.

I can sing the theme song, no problem, ….

… but not to the point of fanaticism ! I can’t say I’m a big fan, but I did watch that cartoon regularly. As for the song, it’s one of those things that sticks in your hear. Thanks to AnyFace, it drilled its way into my brain before I went to bed and it’s still there.

Or not, if Kiko turns out to be a friendly. But Tracy’s deployment of the drones suggests he will get backup PDQ, regardless….

That’s probably Google Chrome. I didn’t know about this feature before, although there is an icon on the right end of the url bar (just before the favourites star).

That large tattoo on the thug’s right deltoid is just as much an identifier as his face.

Yup, he’s not being very careful. Even if he’d worn a short with sleeves it would have covered that up.
