Are they on an intersection? That is what it is supposed to be but there are bushes on the right and a sidewalk on the left.

Yesterday’s strip clearly showed Posie had a red light.

I think the highlight on the traffic signal is to show a green light in Mysta’s direction. Unfortunately, the colorist made all three lights on.

Mysta was wearing her seat belt in the past few strips, but I didn’t see one on Posie. Could he be…? Nah.

If Posie’s plan was to confront Mysta in some way, the only thing that makes sense is that he ran the red light. If *she ran the light, then Posie only hit her by chance, which isn’t much of a plan. Yet, the angle of today’s drawing does seem to indicate the green light in favor of Posie. The colors of all the lights have shown each day they have appeared, with the “flash” highlight used to indicate which light is actually lit up. My guess is that the angle of the drawing in confusing, but that they meant to show Posie running the light.

The original Mysta died when she borrowed Tracy’s boobie-trapped car. This Mysta borrows Diet Smith’s SUV and has an accident. I shall be forever nervous when I see Mysta driving a car.

I don’t think Posie could have predicted he would see Mysta driving. He may have been on his way to Diet Smith’s plant and the fact that Mysta happened to have just left there is simply coincidence (which is not unlikely since Mysta obviously comes and goes from Diet Smith’s on a regular basis). When Posie saw her he reacted impulsively and gunned his car through the intersection to stop her. Therefore, it is unlikely that this accident was any part of a plan by Posie.

I think the lights yesterday are correct. They showed the lights changing. That’s why yellow light was on. Mysta’s light turned green and she started. Posie ran the red light.

I think Posie wasn’t expecting Mysta to show up so soon, and he lost concentration.

To quote the Beatles, ♩ ♫"he didn’t notice that the lights had changed."♩ ♫

Another thing Joe and Mike could have done was use Chester Gould’s device of providing text with an arrow pointing to the traffic signal.

    “Failed to notice red light.”

Posie was probably planning to somehow get back Mindy/Mysta and then she suddenly appeared before him, sort of….

    .

Well the opportunity presented itself and Posie took advantage of it the best way he knew how to do it.

    .

Mysta is unconscious from the collision but will be reunited with his father. Now the problem is how will he restrain Mysta as I do not think he is fully aware of what she can do.

I really didn’t think he would do that. Bold and shocking. The most shocking thing in “Resident Evil 2” was a cement mixer blind siding a vehicle in it. Made me jump out of my seat.

DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Members of the jury, we will demonstrate that my client had only recently found out that Mysta Chimera was actually a personality which had taken over his beloved daughter’s body, and has refused any attempts to allow the restoration to normal of his beloved “Mindy”. On his way to see Diet Smith to beg for his help in righting this terrible wrong, he had stopped at a traffic light and happened to see Ms. Chimera driving a car passing in front of him. A witness, Ray Toler a well-regarded actor known for his work in several movie sequels, will testify that my client “reacted impulsively and gunned his car through the intersection to stop her.” It was obviously temporary insanity…

Sure is a strange intersection. Maybe it is an “ell” in the street. And if so, why the light? Maybe there’s a fire station at the bend in the street and that is the reason for the light. Just askin’……. I’d NEVER pick on the writers or artists. Maybe the cause of the wreck is that both drivers were thinking “WT*” when they noticed the weird corner and lost their concentration on driving.

My impression is that Posie nailed Mysta as she was exiting the Diet Smith Industries compound by way of its private drive (which nonetheless has a traffic light because a lot of employees and visitors use Smith Drive during the day and especially at rush hours [morning and evening]). The flash signifying the green light is on the side facing Mysta, so Posie ran the red light in order to ram her (not made very clear by the coloring). Not the safest way to meet and greet your daughter, but I guess it will work. Posie is more likely to have been injured, it appears to me, than Mysta, whose vehicle took a hit on the off-side (i.e., the side away from her), while his took a head-on hit….
