Did Tracy send up an empty elevator again?

If the TEK guy dies, will that be homicide or murder?

Unless Brush takes off the wig (if that’s really a wig) I do not think he would be able to escape notice if they go through the normal route.

Apparently the checkpoint they missed was very time-sensitive, as Brush and Kitchen are still trying to hide the guards.

    @22ph (the #$%& “reply” buttons ain’t workin’!):

If the TEK guy dies, will that be homicide or murder?

Is there a difference in this case?

Unless Brush takes off the wig (if that’s really a wig)

I think it’s more of a mask than a wig.

Okay, I just shot off a quick note to tech support about the “reply” buttons.

Well I don’t understand why someone would be using the elevator. After all, it’s not like they’re in a hotel or something! LOL

Kitchen knows the difference between armed robbery and murder, even if Brush doesn’t care.

@ BOBOSCAR: (From Yesterday) Thanks for the research on how various writers lost their grip on continuity yesterday. That was interesting. I had noticed the discrepancy about Mary Steele, but not the Stooge Villar problems within Gould’s own tenure on the strip.

RE: Your comment: It’s possible that someone else blew up there instead. Like, say, one of the derelicts the Brush had encountered earlier in that original story.

The problem with that idea is that those derelicts were in the skid row section of the city, and the ones who were in direct contact with Brush ended up going to Police HQ after their scuffle with Brush at the all-night laundro-mat. Brush himself hi-jacked a commercial laundry truck not related to the laundro-mat, and was clearly alone when Tracy caught up with the laundry truck and captured Brush. By this time they were way out in the country side, separated from those derelicts by a distance too great to cover on foot.

Of course, now we know that this is really an error on Mike’s part, but if he tries to correct it with-in the story, I don’t think he can plausibly use the derelicts

From Yesterday: "Cool Dude” was a phase Joe was going through, he grew out of it, is now embarrassed by it, so naturally would try to deny it when his older sister brings it up.

Yeh but.. wasn’t he ALSO smoking when he was going by the Cool Dude handle? and wasn’t he a bit OLDER than he is depicted now? In current strip time I’d say Joe is about 7 or 8 **IF**that old.. and wasn’t he shown as being in either high school or middle school at the time as well?

Good evening Vista Bill et al! I’ve been quietly checking in daily and hope this isn’t the grand finale of this caper – there’s been way too much set up for this to be the payoff.

Well, durn it—I hate it when a good crooked scheme goes wrong (which is almost always). Now Brush and Kitchen have a possibly dying TEK courier on their hands even as the elevator is only four floors below as it ascends, likely bringing Tracy and the Spirit. Action is forthcoming….

Just because it’s a little funny – when I read panel 3 this morning first thing, I thought Brush said “Leave ’em out here, in the kitchen.” Later, I remembered the guy’s name is Kitchen.
