The last appearance of Am was during the time he met Tracy and Spirit at the lobby. The question now is if that is really Am on the 30th floor. The person who is on the 30th floor could be the owner of the shadow seen behind Doubleup on the third panel of the http://www.gocomics.com/dicktracy/2017/02/28 strip
Tracy’s hand in panel 1 is in a very awkward position. I hope he does not develop any shoulder or elbow problem. http://www.yesemoticons.com/free-cool-d/4663-2/tiny-smileys-yesemoticons-005.gif
Okay – I have no problem with being wrong about Warbucks (one of the Laws of Physics is that “the more certain I am of something, the more likely I’m wrong”).
The guy who met Tracy had to be the real Am (or three guys in one costume).
Our Keeper of the Tales, Neil, says no one was in the Great Am’s penthouse suite on the night of the murder. Yet someone gave the TEK couriers the cash stash. Or was it just left out in the open, unattended? (I think not.)
Chances are, Tracy thinks the Bad Guy(s) is(are) still in Am’s suite, waiting for the heat to cool down before going down the private elevator in which Tracy and the Spirit now are ascending [and, P.S. the tail on the word balloon in panel 2 is just accidentally pointed at the wrong speaker, IMO]. That’s why for once he wants back-up. Remember what happened when he and Spirit exited before on the 28th floor!
I don’t know if it is relevant to this story or not, but in Harold Gray’s original Mr. Am stories, Am has been depicted as able to step in and out of another “dimension”. He did it once in a court room, in a trial sort of like “Miracle on 34th Street”, where no one believed him. He did it another time in a story in the mid 1950s, where all the other characters were trapped in a blind canyon, but he came and went as he pleased.
If the elevators just went from the ground floor to 28, and you had to switch to another elevator that connects 28-30, why are the call buttons showing from 30 on down? What Mike & Joe have done is complicate their tale so much that they are tripping over them. Panel 2 is a good example. And, like others, the CF around the fifth bidder needs some ’splainin.
Reading back Tarry Plaguer’s comment on the http://www.gocomics.com/dicktracy/2017/02/12?comments=visible strip, I realized that the personal suite of the Great Am and Perenelle’s suite are both on the 30th floor. I now fear for Doubleup… :)
I do not think Am is the suspect. There was no mention that he was the person they were after. We were just too fast to make conclusions. You have to consider that aside from Am, Perenelle also resides on that floor. Where Perenelle is there is also Ramon is Cobra and Doubleup. I believe Am is cleared and, well, Perenelle is dead fish dead. She was already cut open by the coroner by now so there is no more chance of snapping out of the dead potion. So that leaves us with Ramon and Doubleup. Choose you suspect. I going for Doubleup. How about you?

Tracy and Spirit duped?
Neil Wick over 7 years ago
There was nobody in the Great Am’s personal suite on the day that Perenelle was killed. In other words, Mr. Am was not in his suite at all that day.

28 + 30 = ?
Didn’t the Kitchen/Brush robbery take place on the 30th floor?
Something about the numbers doesn’t add up.
Has a switcheroo been pulled …?

Why did Tracy and Spirit change coats in the second panel? Or, better put, why is Tracy calling Spirit “Tracy” ? Old age, I guess.
AnyFace over 7 years ago
Tracy must be expecting big trouble, if he’s actually calling in backup for the arrest.
I’d think that ‘The Spirit’ should be all the extra muscle one would require.

And who is the fifth bidder? If there’s no fifth bidder, where did the extra $250,000 came from?

Now I get it- it wasn’t a Warbucks imposter…it was someone posing as Am!

Oh, dear. Tracy’s so nervous about going to see Am that he’s talking to himself.

Hmmm… if the 30th floor is the Great Am’s personal suite only, why is there a button that anyone can use?

Isn’t this story supposed to run for a total of four months?
If so, we’re far from the denouement.

Also, it’s sad that ‘The Spirit’ was wounded before he could properly battle a small army, single-handed.

Not to distract from all the deductifyin’, but if the hotel owner had gender identity issues, would he be Trans Am?

Am did it – but he was being controlled by his “handlers”. Who’re that, you ask? Why, Mike Curtis and Joe Staton, of course! LOL
