The Missuz is packin’ a pink pistol in her purse? Really!?! Seems like an unlikely, “cheesy” artistic choice to me but I’m not a gun guy. Is “lethal weaponry as fashion accessory” a real thing?
he’s not going to go down THAT easily….is he?Hmmmm….so where does the horse racing come in? And finally….would you REALLY let your wife answer the door, when it’s Sawtooth….he coulda just shot her….and then went looking for Dick.
I believe this was pretty much as I predicted yesterday. The only question is whether there was a real invitation from Ernie’s in the first place (I think there wasn’t).
Mustache and moustache are both correct spellings of the same word.Mustache is the most common spelling in the United States. Moustache is used in other English-speaking countries.
In any case, Sawtooth’s looks pretty fake. I wondered yesterday how Tess could not notice.
I still think it’s gonna be a Hansel/Gretel into the oven scenario. I hope something happens anyway, but the folks behind this strip aren’t known for wrapping things up in an interesting manner. We’’ll see, But pleeeeze don’t cut to a Crystal/Honeymoon conversation.
Sawtooth heaves the bread at Tess, makes a swipe at Tracy, and takes it on the lam. Grimm will have to decide what the best thing he can do is…. and I think he would have a better chance with the police.
In the penultimate panel, Grimm and Sawtooth look just enough like them to remind me of Olaf and Hendrickson of the Blackhawks! But they are not Blackhawks; rather, black hearts.
Tracy was on to them as soon as he saw them in the arriving truck, though his response seems rather casual: click on the Wrist Wizard to notify HQ, but apparently no packing; at least, not presenting, any firearm. Tess, on the other hand, has the drop on them with her colorful semi-automatic (several manufacturers offer color choices; among them Sig Sauer, which may be what Tess favors)….
Kinda surprised at all the folks who are surprised by Tess’s pink semiauto. They were all over the news a few years back. Commentary from women who owned guns ranged from hating the pink stereotype to those who enjoyed the thought of a bad’un being not only wounded by a gun-wielding woman, but humiliated by the fact that the gun was pink. I wonder, though, if pink guns cost more than the same model blued or plated — the “pink tax” is a thing, in which the “woman’s model” of an otherwise identical item (such as a safety razor or a pain reliever) costs more.

Fresh baked bread, it’s often said, smells like a slice of heaven
Dough shall rise. ‘Tis no surprise, the magic of the leaven.
At Tracy’s house with Tess, his spouse, they kneaded sourdough
Loaves now hot sure to hit the spot at Ernie’s Fine Eats show.
Sawtooth and Grimm they barge right in, adept at using force
Grimm distracted. Bookie contacted. Bet on the wrong horse.
The ponies don’t know win, place or show. Grimm lost every penny
His favorite nag far behind did lag. None could hear it whinny.
Sawtooth gambles in his own way. He’s playing a long shot
Others rolled the dice on this. Victorious they were not.
Dick Tracy not a push-over, as many can attest
Tess now wields her pink pistol, says, “You’re both under arrest!”

I think Tess is going to be the one to “off” Sawtooth. Grimm will surrender quietly.

If Tess and Tracy knew about it, why were they talking to each other as though they didn’t when they were alone? (see 7/10)

LOL! Tess said the same thing I said about Sawtooth’s cheap mustache! I hope it doesn’t end like this. Let there be a shootout or something.

Someone forgot that Tess works as a Private Detective with Johnny Adonis,, so she is licensed to carry a pistol. Plus she is a Cop’s Wife,,

I’m thinking Grimm would prefer going to jail than face certain death at the jaws of Sawtooth.
