Wendy will give excuses. She is just showing contempt for the police who show contempt for her antics. She would not like to be held as a material witness I should think.
I think Tracy wants to at least get a description of what he looks like and other features of him, like height, weight, etc. I know he wore a mask but there are somethings that can be used to help!!!
We’re missing a thought balloon from Sam in panel 2. I’m going with “Tracy is going to talk to Wichel. What a pain she is – don’t take me with you, Tracy!” Then the last panel can have another thought balloon from Sam, off-panel: “Yay!” LOL
Alternative Script: 1- Did you see my wedding announcement in the paper Daddy? 2- DT: What? Where? I don’t see it. DAUGHTER: I know! I was being facetious. You were supposed to get that little job done. 3- DT: Oops. I guess I better get after that. Ummm, all cards on the table, I forgot to snatch up the groom to keep him from leaving town but I forgot that too. (OFF PANEL): OH DADDY! (blubber, sniff, cry)
Carl Kolchak had the homicide beat back when things were more normal in his life that lead to the vampire murders by Janos Skorzeny in Las Vegas in 1972. He still has that beat though he is a magnet for things. Now is he in Tracyville tracking down serial killer who has moved from one city to another? Naw, they have the Lady In Red doing it.
I like the little detail of Tracy tightening up his tie before setting out to have a talk with his nemesis, Wendy Wichel. And I also like that he’s taking Lee Ebony (a woman for the confrontation with another woman, natch—that’s why Sam is left out): she needs some facetime in this ’toon!

Good morning™, “Wich” hunters !
Can they make her talk ? She may insist on a warrant for them to get entry to her lair.

So much for Wendy being a cooperative witness!
Baked potato and a Frosty would be good about now.

I’d think she’d want the cops in on this, for her own safety. ✨

WOW! Today’s strip has been an epiphany for me! I’ve been constantly wrong about the strip and all it brings to the world of comics.
The exciting thrills that we are daily exposed to are awe inspiring.
I promise to NEVER AGAIN complain about the strip.
Scouts honor!

I think Wendy might be afraid to cooperate out of fear of retaliation!

All the stuff these guys get from the paper, and Tracy’s apparently to tight to subscribe at home

Tess, and, Bonnie probably kept him to busy at breakfast to read the paper before leaving home. Too busy discussing household matters.

Given the history between the two of them over the years, this promises to be an interesting conversation, to say the least.

Very nice 3 panels today. Love the last panel, Tracy looks like he means business. He’s peeved but he’ll keep the anger tied down.

mind numbingly stupid of the woman not to call the police.

Just noticed the really weird way Lee’s holding her coffee cup.
What’s up with that?
Why draw it that way???
