First page such a surprise.

To make violence real and seal the foul deal

Must watch it on TV

The “chore” was done. To view such fun

A newscast he shall see.

Bitter the news that “Doc” cannot use

Seems Tracy did not die

Wore Kevlar vest. You know the rest

His spirit did not fly.

Good morning™, disappointed snipers!

So, Tracy was headed back in to the station and that’s why be was still wearing a vest.

I like Sally’s hair better in this officially coloured Sunday that in the dailies that GoComics coloured.

Tracy feels lucky and Lil Doc is sad!

Regret for what could not be done

Failure most definitely ruins all the fun

And just perhaps a tinge of regret

The die is cast and fate is set

Curiosity they say did kill the cat

And yet he feels like he’s the rat

The girl must go she knows too much

But sadness he’ll feel that more than a hunch

So, nothing happened this week while I was gone – AND – what happened last week was just cancelled?

First time I have seen such a tempered tone from her. For Doc, “defeat snatched from the jaws of victory”.

Sally looks like Doll from Diamond’s gang. Maybe she IS Doll

So soon I’m guessing that we’ll find out whether it was leisure or employment for him with the miss?

Surgery unsuccessful…

“I’m a Doctor, not an assassin”

This begs the obvious (to me) question. OK-Tracy is alive—Is he hurt?? Remember, he did ask Sam to call for an ambulance and he was spread eagled on the pavement and looked like death warmed over.

Gee. How nice of the TV news people giving ideas to assassins. “Hey look at this, you gotta target his head next time. No bullet proof vest there, see?”

I tried carrying my keys in my hand, and they fell down a storm drain.

Doc’s disappointed!!! I’m sure he will try something else……just what I don’t know???

Wow. I saw an invisible infrared beam with my unaided eyes. I must have superpowers.

Well that’s a relief to see Richard is going to be all right, aside from sore. But in other news I see Sally’s going to be the new head-turner for all the males (and a few females) here (giggles)

To be honest, in hindsight. Something’s /off/ about doc. His expression at the end for example, it doesn’t quote feel right. Is he the assassin now?

Who is Sally in relation to him? Guess the stereotype beautiful girl to the geek.

And, in an instant, Sally’s expression and mood on the tanning bed darkened…

“Don’t ask me about my work! Turn on the TV and see if what I did made the news!”

Anyone else here not surprised?

So far I tend to like these two characters. I wonder if it is necessary to the story to link Doc to Flyface or if he could have been introduced as a character on his own without the family connection and hygiene of a previous character? Other than the gimmicked law books, we’ll see if the dynastic connection to Flyface plays into the story.

But it looked like he got shot in the back.

HOORAY!!!!! Dick Tracy lives!!!!!!

I’m thinking that “Little Doc” will send one of his books to the police station and to Tracy’s home…

For some strange reason folks writing in seem to think this strip has to make sense and be correct in its continuity. Au Contraire mon frere, these guys throw it against the wall and use whatever sticks. The kevlar vest save was a gimme. But I still can’t figure out why Dicko’s famous yellow coat went unmarked. Undoubtedly, Neil will explain. Onward, the plot sickens

Sally, Sally, if you stick with Little Doc, you’re going to be brought down with him, too!
