So … the plan from the good guys meets the plan from the bad guys. The stage is set (so to speak) for the winner and the loser in this battle of wits. I don’t think that either one knows they are being set up.
This is what I see happening ( at least in the short term ) :
Doc believes that the real cocaine is still in the thermos, not knowing that Richard put in a harmless substitute. When Sally returns the thermos to Doc, and he finds out that its contents are fake, he’s going to believe that Mitchell double-crossed him. So, I think that Mitchell will be getting either a special “package” from Doc, or Doc will be paying him a fatal house call ( like he almost did on Tracy ).
Vitamin should’ve also reminded KandiKane that only did Tracy substitute creamer for the “coke,” but he also attached an RFID chip someplace unnoticable on the thermos, and, until they can complete plans to plant some one undercover at the theatre, Kandi, and, Vitamn are under discreet surveillance by various members of Tracy’s, and, teh Narcotics Squads.Oh, I hope Kandi is as naive as she seems when Sally pretends to be someone from the News, come to interview her. I mean no ID, no voice recorder, doesn’t it just smell fake?
4- I wish you’d let me drive Sugar Daddy. You know you can’t see too well… 5- …and while your 5 miles per hour top speed helps keep us safe… 6- …I’d still prefer that you stayed in our lane. 7- LOLA: Excuse me. Barber Pole? BARBER POLE: Buzz off sister. This old dude’s mine. Find your own. 8- LOLA: I’m from Child Protective Services. I’m here to check on reports of baby neglect. BARBER POLE: Baby? You’ve got the wrong…oh wait. Yeah, he’s fine. Hold on. She? Whatever. It’s fine.
Let’s see, the majority of the panels shows Kc and Ol’ Vito in their car in what appears to be heavy traffic. Suddenly we switch to Sing-Song asking for an interview. Hmm?? Is she in back seat? Did Kc use a hovercraft? Tune in tomorrow, or maybe later to see nothing of note happening.
Kandikane Lane-Flintheart does not know Sally “Kassie Richmond of the Daily News.” Sally does not know Kandikane, either, except by what Little Doc may have told her. So we have a Scarlet Sting thermos filled with a baggy of fake coke, a dealer’s apprentice trying to recover the real deal, and a recent birth-giver expecting to fool Mitchell rather than Sally “Kassie.” ‘Tis a complicated web we spin! Presumably, Richard and the coppers lurk nearby and at least some of them look on. What will go down? Will Sally pull off a switch? —Or a Grab and Run? Is unstable Little Doc backing up Sally’s play and packing heat (the same gun used in the failed Tracy assassination)? Will Vitamin Flintheart’s own Patterson Playhouse be the perforated scene not of Our Town but rather of the latest Tracyville cops-and-bad guys shootout? Could be an action-filled week ahead if the wheels get to turning….

Sally strides into the breach, lost thermos worth a ton
Hopes to deceive Kandikane, else she should have to run.
Mitchell dropped the ball big time, placed blame upon his cold
Recovering from flu bug, yet unlikely to grow old.
“Cassie” wants an interview. Here from the Daily News
Seeks the missing thermos. Vast drug profits she could use.
Dick Tracy has a trick or two he’s taken from his sleeve
The thermos rendered worthless. Sexy Sally may not leave.
She’s not the kind to take the fall for Doc with all his flies
A rat, a turncoat, tattletale is where her future lies.

Shouldn’t she be addressing Kandikane as Ms Flintheart?

Also, wouldn’t the theater be under police surveillance?

Yup. The Coke would be in the evidence room at the police station under lock and key.

Did they also swab the inside and outside of the thermos for what will be Mitchell’s “cold” DNA after finding no prints because of gloves?

From the looks of it, I’m doing just fine keeping up with this strip, looking in only once a week!
