For those not familiar with Svengooli, I guess today is an introduction to who he is and what he does. Those of you who know him well are probably bored, but I think this is a good way of summing him up by seeing him in action.

“This seems to be a problem on your end. How are you opening them? The work fine for me in FireFox.”
I am on the Fox here. Possible that after it’s latest update is why I can’t get stuff I should be (?). I did the links with and without Neil’s bag o’ tricks. Other links work as always. Thanks for trying, buddy !
Re the Mary Hopkin tune; “Sir” wrote that one as he did for the one that made Badfinger huge.
I can go along with the notion of posters who are learning of Sven for the first time as I did when he first showed up in the strip and then was dutifully explained by the fan faithful. I think it would be fab if he has an actual part in the story.
Meanwhile, the killer is home watching the show and sharpening the fangs for victim #2. It feels like weeks since we last saw the killer, or even the hint of a crime.
I wonder if any other familiar characters will be introduced to the story…Rikki Mortis? (I know, she’s probably in custody.) Abner K (if still alive) would need his own story to be reintroduced. Hmm…I guess this is it, then…
when i started high school in Providence RI, we had two Latin teachers (yes, Latin was a required subject and you still had to take another language) one teacher was the twin of Bela Lugosi, and the other looked exactly like Boris Karloff…and they would actually stand there and have conversations in Latin in front of the class…spooky, but will never forget
I had said that the opening of this story arc reminded me of “Gotham By Gaslight” where tBatman and supporting cast are placed in the 1880/1890 time frame and thought that it would be far more interesting and challenging…
The “crossovers” often don’t make sense beyond “cameo” appearances and add nothing to the story… ( See Steve Roper/Mike Nomad, Brenda Starr (( where has she been ? )), at least Annie, Daddy Warbucks, Punjab, and the Asp were an active, logical, part of the story, and Smokey Stover ?… What’s next… Looney Tunes ? ) ( I shouldn’t give out any ideas except to return to a good, straight detective story with a firm epilogue that explains all of the “off panel” activities of the MCU and the backstory on how Tracy met the perks so that the perps’ hostility to Tracy can be understood ( See Ghost Pepper… ) And close the story arc…
By golly….they may end up really going through old movie footage for clues. Will be interesting to see what angle Svengooglie can give them which they won’t have already. But what the heck….I’ll stay tuned. Shazaam! Flight of the rubber chickens….this could be the makings of a mini series.
All you Official Chicken Tossers, shape up now! Of course, this typically occurs near the end of the show, when Sven is getting back into his coffin.
Still, even transposed to the opening of the show, Chicken Tossing is a kind of trademark for Svengoolie. I just hope he has something really worthwhile to tell Tracy and team. This may take a couple of more days’ strips, but if it helps get Tracy on the track of Stokes it will be worth it (spoken, admittedly, as a Sven fan)….

Good grief.
Full.
Blown.
Commercial.
And as far as we know, Tracy’s still bringing the kids to the studio.
Likely, at this rate, Sven won’t make his contribution until Saturday.
Unless Mike is waiting for the next Sunday fill!

Nice product placement on the side of the camera there. Wonder if MeTV paid for that?

I miss my buddy, StillDaMatt. There must not be enough Anacin and Bromo left in stores to get him through this one.

seriously? wasting a chance to advance the story by using a one panel joke strip?

I get that they’re trying to reach the “hip” crown by featuring a guest spot by Svengoolie. but MeTV’s median viewer age is 60!

“Svengoolie”? Give me Elvira, Mistress of the Dark any day. Cassandra Peterson had great character going there.
