Good morning™, everyone!

Confrontation coming up! Shay-Gin lost her hyphen today. I hope Ro-Zan isn’t planning to harm Honeymoon and Mysta, but he certainly doesn’t like them. Thorin’s head looks like it’s about to explode.

What will Honeymoon do with the information that something important is going to happen tomorrow afternoon? That will be close to the time she is due to head for home.

“I don’t know, kill the Govenor, ray cannons, attack the humans, something like that. Maybe there will be ice cream.”

Today’s "progress* in the story is enough to show that there was no secret setup in letting Shay-Gin(or the shorter ShayGin spelling, I know, not an error) warn Tracy.

The world’s about to explode in a violent takeover attempt and all Dick cares about is getting a good night’s sleep?

I suppose they’ll have to wait for their morning cup of Moonbucks coffee before taking action.

Hopefully for the Governor and JJ Ro-zan and the gang will not skip their morning breakfast at McMoonie’s!

This story is definitely falling apart.

Don’t know about anyone else, but Thorin is highly ticked off.

This needs nipping in the bud but Tracy wants to do it on the last minute. Problem is Thorin does not seem to have that many supporter any more.

TOMORROW??? Tracey, you’ve just been told about a murder and that you’re in danger! You’re going to give him more time?!?!?

Oh no! Ro-zan is conspiring to commit high treason and seize power in a bloody coup! And he’s planning to attack and kill unsuspecting humans after that! And he already has control of the military! And he’s already committed murder! He has to be stopped! But, eh… let’s work on it tomorrow. I mean, it’s already kinda late and if we get started on this now we’ll miss happy hour.

Will they take Honeymoon as a hostage since she is the granddaughter of the Governor and Dick Tracy ? That would be a good move on their part.

Tracy is going to have to get ahead of this conspiracy somehow. What that looks like, l am not sure. Great visuals today by Pleger!

Honeymoon is going to have a unique paper for her English class, “how I spent my Summer vacation”.

Thorin and Tracy will have to isolate Ro-Zan from his followers if they hope to stop the invasion of earth.

Of course, if faking an alarm doesn’t work, you can always play a gangster movie with the line, “Keep the change, ya filthy animal!”

Do we have any idea of the comparative power of Mysta’s (and I guess Honeymoon’s) abilities compared to typical moon folk?Also, it looks as if the new weapons are still being installed on that Coupe, so they might not be ready for the showdown.

His plan with Mysta… probably being his slave.

Tracy needs his beauty sleep. There will be plenty of time tomorrow for the bad guys.

Surely it would be better to confront the rebels tonight and not wait for them to mass together tomorrow. The military term is a ‘spoiling attack’

Sounds like a good plan. Confront and threaten a guy who (along with his henchmen) can microwave cook you in 3 seconds.

Looks like Thorin’s more than ready to confront Ro-zan. (BTW, curious effect in that panel… especially for someone named THOR-in (as in Thor, Norse god of thunder).

Uh-oh! Zonar said, “It’s top secret.” Honeymoon will be intrigued, and will now want to do her own detective work. As has been seen in the past, she has the propensity to get tangled up in situations beyond her control because of this.

I’m guessing this story arc will wrap up in about two weeks. A lot of times a new arc will begin right after Labor/Labour Day.

5-WEL-DAR: The economy sure has perked up since we allowed the Military Industrial Complex to run it. Money in our pockets AND protection from dirty commies – whatever they are…

Actually in this case…a Sweatbox Express would be welcomed…this story is a mule, tho it has a very VERY little bit more “movement” than most…and I’d imagine there WOULD be since they’d have to dodge so many potholes

So….I called to see if I was working today, and I told the store manager that she unloaded a LOT of stuff on me Thursday and that I couldn’t follow what she was doing at all…she said that “I was just showing you what gets done at closing and some stuff in general, but you still have to go thru the training, and you wont have to worry about that stuff for at like 2 more weeks”…..so I’m off today and working tomorrow 9am til 5:30pm

Relative to the Crimestoppers tip, in addition to my having done the sign in the window, I have a Beware of Dog posted on my fence. I don’t have a dog, but my neighbor has a large, noisy one. So far, so good..30+ years.

Sounds like there’s gonna be trouble tomorrow!

The conspiracy hasn’t failed yet and the final confrontation is nigh.

Great imagery by Shelley today. Tracy looks really good in his two appearances, frontal and profile. And Honeymoon, talking with Zonar, in the penultimate panel seems implicitly under the protection of her mother in the form of the Moon Maiden Mysta Memorial Fountain statue!

Meanwhile, Ro-Zan’s xenophobic cabal plans do not seem to be so “top secret” when even the kids in NMV know a lot, albeit not all, about them! It would appear that former Governor, now Ambassador, Thorin has been too cut off from his people, as he seems least informed of all. Only after Shay-Gin’s (or now “Shaygin’s”) revelations does he realize what a problem he faces, and his anger shows in the orange outburst of electro-antenna rage. Tracy is pretty cool, by contrast.

Tomorrow (strip-time, not necessarily our time), the stuff hits the fan and Thorin and Tracy face off against Ro-Zan and Tezla. And there might be more players on the field, too; not just both loyal and cabalist Armsmen, but likely also Honeymoon and Mysta Chimera….

Thorin seems fit to be tied while Tracy is remarkably calm about the whole thing. To me it seems an indication that Tracy already has a plan and that plan somehow guarantees the safety of himself, Mysta, and Honeymoon.

So top secret that he casually mentions it…
