The excavator operator is maneuvering the boom very carefully. “Got to do this right.” he thinks. “I’ll scoop up that jerk Edgar and dump him in that runoff pit. HA, HAW!”
Today appears to confirm that Junior is guilty of something. We have no idea what other than the murder (which we can’t be absolutely certain about). Why did he commit the murder? Was Sprengstoff working for Junior, and if so – why was he offed? Was Sprengstoff working for crooks who want what was in the tower? And, if so, how was Junior able to identify him as a threat that needed to be eliminated? Assuming Junior did the offing – is more than one group after what is in the tower? For all we know Junior has his complete collection of Playboy magazines locked in the tower so Dad won’t know he has them and Sprengstoff was working for an obsessed men’s magazine collector.
And, assuming Junior is guilty of something it would confirm Senior’s reactions so far have been totally irrational and only there to confuse readers since the real head of a company would be removed by the board of directors for ignoring things of importance and ranting about things that aren’t.
And, speaking of irrational, Tracy is either losing it or his ESP is going full blast.
At this point, it appears we can expect anything which doesn’t make sense. Perhaps Junior has stolen Marigold the unicorn from Phoebe and has her locked in the tower and the killing was done by Crunchy from JumpStart.
1- EDGAR BURGONE: Hey Chauncey – you don’t have to dig that ditch by hand. We have a backhoe. CHAUNCEY CHANCEY: You know I’m a practicing Neo-Luddite! Stop discriminating against my religion! EDGAR BURGONE: Yeah – right. And I’m a practicing Druid and the giant stone monoliths say it’s break time so…
2- : …What say we go up to the clock tower with a magic marker and black out the “CCE” from “ACCESS” and the “L” from “CLOCK”?
3- CHAUNCEY: I dunno, Edgar…That’s a long climb for a simple minded joke and you’re looking a little bloated – right around your lower tummy. Maybe you’d better take it easy. EDGAR: Really? Maybe it’s this Safety Vest.

~ Good morning™, Generic Drawn Construction Workers !
I get a kick out of Carlos workmen; the most non descript generic people I have seen him do. These guys are more tepid than sugarless vanilla.

There was two old men named Chauncey and Edgar on the old Rocky and Bullwinkle show talking about the dire danger those two were in.

I kinda like Chauncey. He’s got that blank, sort of vacant look in his eyes. :)
