Burl regularly makes change out of the collection plate, BTW those are some weird stained glass windows, do you suppose the Ladies Guild did them with a kit from Michaels?
Looks like he’s asking because he has a string also.I’m surprised he gives anything. Joy looks so proud of her husbands generosity. The windows came from a shop that made them it’s called OOPS stained glass. (Like paint at the stores)
That bill in his pocket is his donation illusion prop. It is displayed prominently until the plate passes. He then makes it vanish, leaving others with the impression he put it in the plate. Burl is also a master of the fake drop and shake where you make the motion of dropping coins and shake the plate at the critical moment. He has also been known to donate coupons they’ve clipped and found that no one carries those products in Crustwood. Now, it’s not that he doesn’t spend anything on religious gestures. The “I Tithe” bumper sticker cost him a whole dollar. (Subsequently deducted from offerings on the grounds that it encourages others to give.)

And the pot calls the kettle black! When was the last time Burl put in a thin dime without taking out a nickel?
