The fellow at the door looks uncharacteristically realistic for this strip, plus he’s saying his whole name.
I wondered whether Julie was either teasing a friend, or getting back at someone,
like maybe a salesman or an insurance agent, by putting in a recognisable portrait.
So I did a Google image search for “Tom Krieger” and found this guy:

He’s a real estate broker in Bloomington Illinois.
Julie lives in Illinois (though these strips are all at least several years old.)
Do you think it’s him??
I found Tom’s Facebook page and thought maybe he’d have a post today about this. He’s apparently not a power FB user, which is a shame considering his job.
