    At least they’ll never suffer a foreclosure or a sheriff’s sale. After they’ve been in that house so long, no bank would ever want to pay to have the EPA supersite it’s become rehabilitated. And the sheriff would lose money paying someone to haul their stuff to the dump.

    The foreclosures do affect you. They drive up interest rates and taxes. Banks, cities and counties have to make up for it some how.
