I couldn’t find business I was going to, called and was told the address, THEN she goes on about something? I was driving and hadn’t written it down. I interrupted her and asked the address again, she told me and I hung up before she started chatting again!
I admit to doing this when someone is trying to lock a number into memory or trying to count. 1, 2, 3, 37, 42, 3, 5, 8, 21. But Joy’s actually writing down Burl’s joke numbers.
