When people announce how much they paid for something (“I paid $3,000 for this bicycle!” “This pickup cost me $60,000!”), and I never asked them, I’ll respond with, “Are you bragging or complaining?”
Went to Crestwood Illinois (inspiration for Crustwood) the other day for the first time in decades. Saw a Windy City Thunderbolts minor league baseball game at Ozinga Field, a real gem of a ball park. Great-value family-friendly entertainment. Highly recommended. But you might want to shield your eyes en route if taking Cicero Ave. from the Cal Sag Channel bridge to the Midlothian Turnpike—could be the ugliest stretch of commercial over-development in the entire Chicago metropolitan area.

Yea. They’re likely in debt up to their necks.

Timmy will tell them she got it at the Dollar Dump, but would not buy him his favorite candy bar he found there.
