Speaking of garbage stories, being replaced by a clone of yourself doesn’t make you immortal. It makes you dead. There’s another person who look like you and has your memories, but that’s not you. You’re dead and gone.
You’d be surprised how many bad sci-fi writers make this silly mistake. I’m looking at you, first season of “Picard.”
