See, this is why I could never get too into the Green Lantern stories myself, because I kept thinking that if they were serious about the power rings doing anything you could imagine, it’d make them so OP there really shouldn’t be much of a conflict, because you could theoretically imagine up any number of things that would stop baddies immediately, without much problem.
But because they generally didn’t do that (or else there wouldn’t be much of a story), it always made it seem like no one in the Green Lantern Corp was really using their imagination to their full potential and, to me, felt cheap.
