My dog likes to carry her retractable leash for the first fifteen feet of each walk. She also barks in excitement as I get ready as she encourages me to be faster in getting my butt out the door.
My Husky would start salivating when we would say “get ready”. We also had to use euphemisms or other words for “walk” in our conversations. My wife and I had to say to each other “would you like to go for a “smock” (yes smock don’t ask me where she came up with that one). But even going to the closet to put on “outerwear” (sneakers) the dog would go nuts.
My Aunt’s HUGE German Shepard mix would perk her ears up straight any time anyone went NEAR the plastic bags (for poop) or the shelf her leash was on, but if she jumped like this the house would’ve been demo’ed!

The cats caused no trouble and people hate them. Sophie is constantly causing trouble, not that I mind, and everyone loves her. What?

I have met dogs like Sophie. Puppies – they wiggle so fast – they tie everyone up!
