“Rhymes With Orange” had a similar theme yesterday: woman lies down on the couch for a nap, suddenly the two cats from the back of the couch and the one cat from under the couch are snoring on her back.

For me, the cat ignores me until I think to myself, “Hmmm, need the bathroom/ Better check on the laundry/ I’m hungry” when suddenly the cat is curled up on my lap and snurring (snoring and purring). I think my cat is psychic.

Lovely, Brian. Dad should listen to those soft, warm, snuffling bodies and go with the flow…take a nice long nap with them. Nothing better on any day, than a book, a bed/couch and a soft warm body snuggled up to you. Half-Time does this all the time.

As soon as our cat hears Hubby’s recliner snap back, he comes out of nowhere, and lands on his lap with a thud.

I never need a nap until I am in the recliner watching TV with a cat on each leg, one behind my head and one on my shoulder purring just enough that the next thing I know I am waking up going “What happened to the last hour?”

Dunno about dawgs, but TV watching laps are certainly kat magnets. I always have at least 2 of the 4 on me, and sometimes 3 (altho that gets crowded). One of these days I’ll probly have all 4 on me, altho a feline squabble would follow almost immediately. “King on the mountain” is NOT a fun game when your lap is the Mountain!

When I was kitty sitting two black female cats, they would take turns sitting on my lap when I sat in the recliner. If one sat too long, the other swat it off and usurped the warm spot.
